I had one just like that with a 5spd minus the ugly aftermarket hub caps. I didn't care for it at the time.

Body look immaculate. I wasn't a big fan of those Escorts either....The Focus that followed was a big upgrade.

It's actually really neat to see how much smaller the windows on that 2014-2018 Mazda3 in front of the Escort are...

Man, I miss those big windows.

Was the reason they went to small so cars roofs would offer more protection in a roll over ?

I think they got smaller because the sheet metal got higher.  Beltlines, or whatever they're called are higher, cars are taller, IIRC to protect pedestrians.   Also, pillars are bigger to put airbags in.

Gosh darn that's NICE. I am partial to the E34s and E39s, but from what I have read, the E28 M5 is one of the best driving cars of all time.

Saw a 9-4X the other day while walking to work. I had seen the same one years ago. Considering they only built ~800 of these it's an unexpected sight.

It is a shame that manufacturers do not offer much colour variety and even then most people don't pick a colour. As illustrated here. What a boring lot.

Of course, I was driving my ultra anonymous 2006 Hyundai Elantra in silver parked on the outside of the wall.  ;D

I don't mind a colour for as long as it compliments a car's design. E.g, an executive, full size sedan is typically better off in white or black (IMHO) while an average CUV can benefit from a certain RGB mix, and that is the one MFGs often pick for their commercials and press events for the car in question.
This time around I chose "coastal grey" which is mainly blue to my eyes, because I've never had a blue car and also because it goes well with the enormous black Toyota grille.  :P

My main complaint about the modern car industry encapsulated into one photo. God, that is depressing.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Yep, in that lineup, that old second gen Escape with it's boxiness and color matched bumpers looks way more appealing than the rest.

I am seeing three of those white Toyotas (Rav4?) so maybe there's a fleet company operating out of the building?

It is a hospital parkade open to the public but these are possibly their fleet vehicles? Not sure. You can park a ten second walk away for free which is what I did.
