^ Oh boy.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Those hoods are megabucks expensive too.

There was a guy in a Chrysler Dealership Mechanics uniform standing around, so I'm curious if this is a joyride in a customer car gone wrong!

Well you have got to check the alignment. Duh!  :P

I remember many years ago a car magazine mentioning that insurance claims for Vipers were ridiculously high.

No problem the dealership will blame the owner somehow. ;D Didn't Too Scoops recently leave a Chrysler dealer?  ;)

I am glad most of the vehicles from that era of GM design have been treated like the kleenex that they were. Yuck.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

They had a few really bad designs in that era, like the extended Envoy and Trailblazers - these things were horrible. At least, the Maxx was practical! And they had the SS version!

Another supremely practical GM design of the time with the fold flat front passenger seat, this one based on the SAAB platform

The Maxx was basically a station wagon, but Americans just don't like those unless they are jacked up, given AWD, and called an SUV instead

From C&D, 2004:

In the past decade or so, Americans have embraced hatchbacks pretty much in the manner they have embraced ringworm and scabies. Chevrolet is keenly aware of this and prefers to call its new Malibu Maxx a "five-door extended sedan," bypassing the "hatch" and "wagon" identifiers entirely.

The facelifted M-Maxx looks so much better than the original version with that chrome scar across its face...

The Maxx, the Opel Signum, and the second-gen FIAT Croma shared the same platform, and had the same seats.

Two door Toyota Camry V6. I should have walked over to see if it was with the rare 5 speed making it even more rare.

For some reason I thought they had dropped the V6 + stick combo for that gen by the time the coupe debuted. IIRC the coupe was a '94 and that gen received a slight facelift for '95.

I do know they reintroduced the V6 + stick for the '97 gen. Car and Driver tested a base V6 manual sedan.

Had to pick up a Beemer loaner at a dealership this morning, snapped a shot of this cute little thing sitting in the service admission area (probably not for winter tire installation):

There's one - just one - nationally on Trader. Also in Young Man Silver. In Oakville, of course. A bit spendy it is.

Totally overpriced considering you can get a used Jag F-Type with V8 for ~$50-60K.
