I’ve been noticing quite a few Explorer-sized Lincoln SUVs recently. So, I guess that’s the Aviator? They do look pretty sharp.

And I followed a new Escalade the other day. I was amazed at how low the rear control arms hang down. Does not look very off-road friendly at all. Maybe not an issue for the Escalade, but aren’t they pushing an off-road oriented version of the Yukon? Possibly they give that one different suspension bits, but I doubt it.

Likely different.  Escalade would have air suspension, while off road Yukon could be coil.

^^ Yeah, but generally the hard bits (like control arms) stay the same. Easy to just replace coil springs with air bags and leave the rest alone.

I have to take ours in for an oil change soon. They’ve got one (Yukon, I think) at the dealer, so maybe I’ll crawl under and take a closer look.

Okay, had to go out for groceries anyway, so stopped at GM dealer on the way. :)

It was a Yukon AT4, so the “off road” model. This one does have the air suspension, but it appears it’s an option.

Too dark to get the overall view, but it’s where the arm dips down near the tire that struck me as being very low. But I guess you get more clearance in the middle without the pumpkin, so there’s that.

It sure looks to me like the air bag unit would just swap right out with a coil over shock in the other trims.

^^ The Z71 Tahoe I reviewed recently was the off-road biased version and also had the air suspension.

Mach-E in downtown Cambridge (Galt). Amazing on two levels. First one I've seen and somebody actually using the one charging station.

Spotted a camo’d manufacturer test car today. 99.9% sure it was the new Hyundai Truck thingy. Up on the high altitude highway between Merritt and Kamloops BC.

We had massive rains last night. Really heavy, constant for hours.

Went to go do my running around and the road is out. This is one of the main drains that goes to the lake. Road is buckled. Must have happened after 330am, because I crossed it then.

I've been here 25 years...probably only the second or third time it's happened.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Also it’s really just a tarted  up Audi, no?

Too many angles, not enough contrasting stitching.

The tractors are still pretty badass today:
