Took my truck in for service this morning and this old Standard Vanguard was sitting on the lot.  Odd looking thing for sure, and had to use Google to find out what it was.  Can't be too many of these around.  :-\

Interesting sighting. The Vanguard was the first car my dad owned when he first came to Canada in the mid fifties.

Vanguard do pop up for sale every once and a while. Seems never when I have a free spot in the garage. There is one in town that someone half restored but they want real money for it.

I do have one now. I do have a line on a Triumph Mayflower or Beardmore taxi that might go cheap enough. We'll see.

Saw a welfare spec Audi A3 sedan yesterday, its the first non sporty model I have seen. Gotta say, with the el cheapo rims, no bulging fenders and tiny exhaust, looked really, really cheap.
Lighten up Francis.....

^^ Saw a same-gen Pontiac Parisienne this morning, white sedan with burgundy vinyl top. Drove to the actual, physical office this morning for my first sit-down-at-the-cube day since March. IT finally decided to upgrade my dead work-provided laptop  ::) While downtown I caught a glimpse of another big Pontiac, this time something from the mid-sixties, long and low.

I bet the back of that wagon has a row of seats that face backward.

There’s also a guy who lives close to my girls’ school who drives around in a Nissan Figaro.  my girls thought it was really cute & were surprised that the driver was on the wrong side of the car. Ha

It's just a Nissan Micra in an anime skirt.

First one in Canada I think. Driven by the auto group owner, he always drives the fast stuff. What a beast.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

If he wants, I can put in a word. Had a good chat with the big boss about the car today. It is for sale, but probably not for long.
