On the way home today a seagull crapped on my windshield right dead centre in my fov.  If you’re r familiar with seagull :censor: it’s the nastiest stuff.  It completely covered the driver’s side and I was temporarily blinded. It looked like egg splatter with a big blotch of dark yellow goo in the middle.   :hurl: Worst part was I was crossing a Highway bridge and couldn’t pull over..  i pretty well had to empty my washer reservoir to get to the point where I could see again.   :P

Yesterday I passed a BMW M550 on the highway.  It was driven by an elderly lady who was pushed up way too close to the steering wheel and doing ~ 90KM/h in a 110km/h zone.  Not long after that I was passed by a black Porsche Panamera like i was sitting still.  It was moving fast!  Quite the contrast!

That is an interesting 529 horsepower call for that old lady!

Hey, at least their helping to keep the category alive.  I do get a chuckle out it though.  My sister lives a few doors down from an elderly guy who bought a 911 Turbo a few years ago.  He looks to be in his late seventies.  I see old guys regularly around here driving Vette convertibles and almost never do they have the top down.

My mother bought a Probe Turbo when she was in her early seventies followed by a Mustang GT convertible, although the GT part was my suggestion.  ;D  I don’t think she had the top down more than twice and had less than 6k km when she traded it in, most of them done by my wife and me.

Volvo S60 with moon discs. Talked to the driver, the owner's son, who said his dad started putting on the discs back when he had a Volvo 240.  He knows about the aerodynamic advantage of them, but just likes the looks.

A mint black Pontiac G8 in the parking lot and what seemed like a perfectly running Dodge Caliber SRT4 burbling down the road

Thought all these would have blown up by now, or been blown up

Drove past the open service bays at Crappy Tire on my way to the pharmacy, and saw a 650i 'vert in there  :banghead:
Oh I got you beat!

Was getting new tires mounted on my wheels at CDN Tire (I know service manager and nearest place with Road Force).

And this was in a bay!

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Depends on the CT - as Gurgie knows, the one here on Carling Ave. has a fantastic service manager who runs a tight shop.

;D  I'll never forget the time i saw a guy pull out of a local Crappy with a fresh set of tires and his front wheel came off as soon as he made the turn onto the main road.   :rofl2:

Saw a Subaru Justy earlier this morning.  Haven't seen one in years and this one looked to be in decent shape.  Wow, they look tiny now!

Reminded me that good friends of ours used to own one as their first new car after getting married.  They had two baby girls at the time and a border collie, and they loved to go camping, so they'd all pile in there somehow and make it work.  Looked like the one below but theirs was black.

It's a Steyr-Puch Haflinger, made by the same company as the Pinzgauer.  Much smaller and lighter, though not amphibious.

Back in my college days, CT actually did that to me with my crappy 225$ Mazda GLC winter beater. I caught the wobble while up on the Met, exited slowly and discovered: one bolt gone, a second about to go and the two others loose enough to tighten by hand  :bang:

Maybe it was being imported and was being inspected? Is it still Canadian Tire that does that?

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

If you were struggling for cash a while ago and/or financial uncertainty, why not ignore the car, and build up a financial safety net instead?

I feel like a used Jag is the opposite.
