A very first generation (20 years old ?) silver Lexus LS, BC plated here in QC into am traffic on Highway 13 heading south to Montréal direction.

Hard to believe these are actually 30 years old at this point.

Yesterday while at work I came across a couple from Florida hauling this beautiful Bowlus.  They were parked on the side of a secondary road looking lost, so i took the opportunity to turn around and ask them if they needed help.  They were simply driving around looking for adventure and couldn't decide whether to go to Grand Manan Island, or to Newfoundland...lol.  They were also looking for a a good walking trail to exercise their two dogs.  I told them it was their lucky day as I know just about every good trail in the area, I to Grand Manan several times a year and have hiked just about every trail there over the years, and I just came back from two weeks in NF where we hiked the entire time.

What a great couple of people with a good sense of humour.  We talked for quite a while, had a few laughs, and I gave them all the detailed info they could handle for where to go and what to do.  They wanted to call my boss and put in a good word for me but then I told them the real reason I stopped was to look at the Bowlus.   ;D   I told them that I came across a web article about their revival a couple of years ago but didn't think I'd ever get to see one in the flesh.  They just chuckled and gave me a nice tour of the interior and a walkaround.  The interior is what you would expect from a high-end boat.  In fact, the exterior looked like an inverted boat.  What a beauty!  Very expensive but real craftsmanship doesn't come cheap.  He said he bought it at a trade show in Vegas when it was introduced and got it at a significant discount.  It was one of the first produced.  It was being towed by a Range Rover.  It was one classy setup.  8)

I saw lots of really nice adventure style motor homes while i was in NF, but nothing of this caliber.  Made my day!

BTW, they decided on NF.  ;D

Got passed by a GT500 on the way home yesterday...menacing looking hood & grill in the rear view mirror.  Then it passed me...2012.  :P Damn those are some ugly taillights (no way rrocket had anything to do with those...I hope - tell me it was a summer student).  I can see why my kid didn't want a 2012.  Too bad it's so expensive to swap them over to '13-14 style, but it'd be worth it.

Saw an early seventies Datsun 240/260Z this morning. Unfortunately, the car was white with black fender flares and a black lip spoiler at the rear. The white and black accents colour scheme did not work well. (Maybe it was a build in process, and hadn't been painted yet.) But the important issue was the sound. There is nothing on earth that sounds as pleasing as an inline six with a decent exhaust.     I'd love to get another Z.

I'm not great at identifying older cars....but saw what looked to be an early 1970's Datsun pickup stopped at a light the other day.  Next lane over was a lifted RAM bro-dozer.  Hard to believe these could both be called pickup trucks...the size difference was astounding.

Yes, the Datsun, Toyota, & Mazda import pick up trucks from the seventies and eighties were called Mini Trucks for a reason.  :rofl2:

Bringing an RV all the way from Spain to park at Walmart.

I kinda get it, it's a free night's stay, but still.  :P

There are quite a few within 30mins of the downtown core... but they're not free like Walmart  :P

Saw a Toyota Tundra in an odd, non-metallic beige colour the other day. Seemed really unusual to me, so I pointed it out to my wife and asked her what she thought of it. Her response was basically, “Blechh, that’s disgusting.”

I didn’t hate it that much, but certainly didn’t love it, and for sure would never buy it.

Anyway, not worth posting about, but then I saw a Tacoma in the same colour the next day. Then yesterday I saw a different Tacoma (this one had a snorkel) in the same colour. And WTF, just saw yet another one today? ???

Ok, so I guess it’s not that uncommon. Still ugly, but not uncommon. Funny how I never noticed these before. Looks like they’ve been selling this colour at least since 2016. Quicksand, I think?

I don’t think it’s that bad for a truck.  Not so great for a car.  Imo it’s better than that putty colour that is trendy now and looks like primer.

Ugh. It was trendy a few years back for the first few hundred Audis (?) they sold in Canada. The novelty has since wore off and now these cars look like the were colour "de-badged"  :P
