THAT'S AN 8 SERIES! That's even less of a 6 series than the 2800!
Haha, yes, but if memory serves, at the time of the 8's intro, BMW considered it a spiritual - if more upmarket - successor to the 6-series
Uhhh, no, while the flip up headlights were cool and the car was quite a looker, not even in the same level as the other two.
You're entitled to your opinion but it's totally wrong
I admit, the 3.0CS would be maybe tied with the 8-series for me - but only if you got rid of the CS's tacky black add-on spoilers and bumpers.
But the 6 remains a distant 3rd place. Reasons are three-fold: 1) lacking a pillarless design, 2) no rear haunches (never skip leg day, BMW!), and 3) the 8-series was the first BMW coupe that successfully - and beautifully, it must be said - integrated the required North American impact bumpers into its exterior design, such that they were flush and didn't stick out like some sort of horrendous orthopaedic add-on.
