on my way to the office today, was driving behind a bright blue Kia Stinger GT...was driving too fast to get a pic

looked great from the rear, I first mistook it for a Maserati

took off at a high rate of speed on the onramp to the main road, driver obviously was having some fun
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Early 1990s Acura NSX covered in salt and sporting winter tires. It's one I've seen before in the winter.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Actually is kind of rare, you don't see many base Carreras.

True. One reason I like 'em is they come with "base" rims, meaning the tires actually have some sidewall!

Wow , looks like a single car accident
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/highway-401-fatal-crash-steel-beam-1.4470981

Holy FACK!!! The car is split into 2!!!  ???

Speed is definitely a factor on this one.
Hit hard enough to collapse the roof and the B pillars and then to bend the sills and split the floor.   Not a crash scenario that the regulatory crash testing covers I think.
I am surprised that the steel post was not severely damaged.

I'm sure they made it strong enough to prevent it from falling onto the highway and cause a catastrophical accident.
It's good to see some people in the government think things through sometimes.

If you remember, the World Trade Towers were carefully designed to survive the impact of an aircraft...IIRC they used a 707 as the test case.    Now I wonder if the people who specified that steel post used a head on from a loaded semi as the test case...good on them if they did.

It was not the plane but the fire that did in the towers
The designers thought The plane would be empty with fuel if it would hit the tower

^^^ Yup.  Both buildings easily handled even the very high speed impact, but eventually the massive ensuing fire melted the support structure.  Let's face it, we can't build everything to be indestructible.
