Wow is right, that Escort looks brand new.

Driving through El Paso Texas, all cars looked new or new-ish.

2 Suzuki cars. One was a Swift (hatchback) and the other some small SUV.
1 MG sedan
2 Renault (forgot what models)

Mexico 'imports', likely still running Mexico plates/registration. Buddy at work drives a fairly late model Toyota Hilux on Mexican plates...His parents live in Mexico so he bought the truck there, registered it to their address, and drove it back to Tennessee.

Reminds me that I saw a Chevette a couple of days ago and it looked to be in mint condition.

Saw one yesterday on a news report at the NS/NB border protesting the carbon tax. Beige 4 door.  :P

Not too many of these left

I legitimately couldn't remember the last time I saw one of these in person

So, driving home tonight, I pull out of the office onto riverside (runs along Mississippi River, touristy spot) and there's a bunch of cars clustered up because someone is driving waaay below the prevailing speed in the left lane.....I get up to them. Two old dudes with tilly hats in a bright blue mini convertible on Quebec plates. Even in Memphis Quebecers are a danger on the road.

They went up the ramp to I40 but then across the bridge, into West Memphis AR....kinda hope they're OK cuz that's a BAD area to be in looking like that.

I saw a white Rivian SUV in Utah last week... and it had Alberta plates. Same guy?  ???  ;D

Probably because of this thread, I ended up counting Rivians while I was down there. Saw 12 in two weeks: 9 pickups and 3 SUVs. Sharp looking vehicles.

I've seen two Rivians to date and surprisingly both wearing NB plates.  They do look good.

Had to go downtown for work this morning.  Nice day so I had the window open for some fresh air.  As I was approaching an intersection i noticed a lady standing there huffing away on a smoke.  Light was red so I had to stop, and right beside where the lady was standing.  Surely enough in comes a huge waft of dope smoke that filled the cabin of my work truck.  Got me thinking how would I explain that to my boss if he had stopped soon afterward to do one of his random safety checks.  :-\ ::)

Going downtown depresses the hell out of me lately.  It's like a scene out of the zombie apocalypse, with a bunch of homeless people wandering around aimlessly, or worse!  :P

First time I saw that was downtown Vancouver, but now it seems to be every major city. Fentanyl seems to wreck people in almost science fiction way

Fent bent.  Ya, pretty common to see in downtown Van, and ya, getting more common in larger cities it seems.

As a side note, four of us walked right through the worst section on Hastings in downtown Van last spring.  I felt much safer walking through the zombies than I would through areas of S'toon where meth heads are prevalent.  The zombies seem harmless, although I'm sure they aren't totally harmless.  One street cop said they generally don't approach/harm anyone.  Regardless, pretty sad to see people in that state.

Where you guys seeing all these Rivians, only one I've ever spotted was when they wife and I were down in Scottsdale a month or so ago. Really nice rig, if I needed an EV truck for some reason, I think it would be #1 on my list....if I cracked my head off something really hard and an EV truck started to make sense.
Lighten up Francis.....

I've seen quite a few Rivians in Memphis, there's also one of those new Hummer EV things that's often parked around the corner from my office, they both look pretty cool to be honest, even if the EV thing isn't for me.

Just got back from San Francisco late Tuesday, saw quite a few Rivians.  I like them a lot.

Tesla's were everywhere.  I expected to see a lot of them, however I would guess that every 10th car was a Tesla around the core of SF.  Also saw one Cybertruck.
Tesla is probably the most popular car brand.  Or Toyota, hybrids everywhere also.

Definitely more cars around the core than CUV/SUV/pickups.  Once you get out of the core area CUVs are more prevalent.  I loved seeing all the 90s cars in pristine shape.  A lot of older Hondas/Toyotas running around.

My favorite siting of the trip was a 911 GT3 RS.
