This Land Rover lives just around the corner, owned by a pair of teachers my wife works with. She once told them woman, "He hasn't said this but if you guys ever want to sell your Land Rover, I know Oliver will want it."

Now the X6 isn't exactly what you would call attractive to begin with, saw one today in a horrid shade of beige, just freaking terrible. Oh, and poor bastard in one of those DCT Focuses had his tranny just freaking let go right next to me. A lot of revs, a lot of bad smell, very little forward motion.

I don't mind that, shame we never got it here. Not something I'd buy for myself, but a fun practical convertible is a nice change of scenery on the road. Would make a good used buy for a daughter, wife, mistress, etc. lol.

This is a Manta Mirage, a tube-frame kit car powered by a mid-mounted SBC. These things had a certain level of respect, and they must be a menace to underpants when floored.

I looked at a vacant house a couple years ago that had a 928 in the garage. Had we liked the house I probably would have tried to write the car into the deal.
