^^Same car but with an I-6.

Ohhh, cool. That makes it even more attractive.

No.

I was heavy and handled like a turd compared to the 4 banger version.

It was unloved.

But...but....moar power??  :'( :'(
Not much. Plenty more torque though.  It was the Healey 3000 engine and. It weighed a ton. I am not sure about this but IIRC the overdrive unit used on the 4 Cyl MGB wasn't strong enough to cope with that torque for long.

The MGB V8 was a different matter as the V8 was actually lighter than the B-series 4 cylinder.

The front suspension was all different as well to accommodate the big six. It gets a bit of a bad rap but they can be nice touring cars. Suspension parts are much more expensive.

I saw an old lowered Acura, so low there was only 1" from wheel well to tyre and god knows how close to the ground it was. Surely it must spark constantly as it drives around our streets. It also had the obligatory fart can on the back. Even worse, the wheels stuck out from the side by at least 6". What's strange is that the tyres didn't look that wide so perhaps they made the wheels stick further out?? Weird.
that whole "slammed and stanced" scene needs to die in a hot garbage fire - it ruins perfectly good cars and is an affront to every driving enthusiast

But more interesting than a beige CUV...

For the record I also think the "stance, hella flush, streched tire" look is silly.

I almost totally forgot!  There must be some Chevy car show happening in (Minneapolis is my guess) this weekend.  Saw a couple or three cars on trailers, and a couple more guys with the cojones to drive their cars.  There was a ’65 Malibu, a '66 Chevy II (or 67), early '70’s Nova, '70-72 Skylark convertible – lowered, 18’s or so, ’69 Camaro in orange, pro-touring, low and big wheels – might be the guy I know, couldn’t see who was driving, could be someone else but how many orange pro-tour '69 Camaro's are there in MB?  And a couple others I forget now. All very clean and looking sharp.  I’d love to make it to one of those shows someday.  I’d also like to have something that could tow my camper while doing it.  Big old Galaxie or Impala should tow 7500 lbs no sweat, right?  Yeah…absolutely…

If you noticed, there is also a Euro-spec cabover tractor trailer there, helping unload the columns and blades and move them around the wharf.

^. Not surprised.  I've seen a few of those euro-spec mini trucks bombing around port facilities in the past.

Saw two Tesla 3s today.  At least I think they were 3s but both were on the opposite side of the highway, so I didn't get a good look.  I just know they weren't' the Model S.  I notice we are starting to get more charging stations around now but have yet to see one being used.

Earlier today i was first in line waiting to get on one of the cable ferries.  The water level is so low that you can't see the cars on the on the ferry deck until they come up the ramp.  I had a vendor rep from Ont with me in the truck at the time.  Anyways, the first vehicle to come off the ferry was a small D/S bike doing a perfect wheelie and carried it on past the truck.  It just looked so ridiculous that both of us burst out laughing simultaneously.   :rofl2:  Perfect timing too because i just got through explaining that the people who live on the other side of the ferry can be quite odd.  ;D

Later on I saw this nice GT350 with NS plates while i was getting gas.  The gas station is adjacent to an uphill highway entrance ramp.  The guy left when i was about halfway through filling up, so i watched and listened to him hoping he would be going up that ramp so i could hear the thing for the first time.  He didn't disappoint and nailed as he was going up the ramp, and just kept it pinned through each gear change.  Oh what a glorious sound!

I went to get an alignment today. So I needed to put some gas in the car. The little town nearby only has 2 gas bars, but one of them was closed. So there was a lineup about 4 deep. The gas bar has 2 entries...with the lineup sorta being around the corner of the convenience store. So when one car pulled out, a guy in a truck coming from the opposite entry slid in to the open pump. I'm sure he didn't see the line up on the other side.

Well one woman, the next in line, ripped into the guy. She didn't just say "oh there was a line up and you cut in"...she RIPPED him! Except he wasn't having it. He said he didn't know...but that wasn't good enough. She continued berating him. Clearly he had enough. Told her to go :censor: herself...he was here to get gas and didn't need her BS. This only pissed her off more. Finally he used the nuclear option and called her a C U Next Tuesday! Taken aback, she said "what did you say? " and he repeated it..more loudly and slowly.

I LOL a bit.....can't recall the last time I heard something like that LOL.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

On the way back from visiting Shane at HRB late this afternoon I saw a helaflush rollin-coal Jetta!  I was driving in the roadster and heard this nasty blatty sounding noise as I drove by a side road.  I looked through my rvm and could see it taking off the other way with a thick stream of black smoke blowing out of this ridiculous looking pipe.  One of the weirdest and dumbest looking things I've seen in a while.
