lots of biased opinions here...i state what Ovr said above, but will give me my $$ cent...

250Hp + AWD would make me jump into a Legacy GT over the TSX anytime.

As to build quality, we've had two Legacys, a 99 and our current 01, and they are reliable, well made cars.  Service is inexpensive, and overall operating costs is very reasonable.

Personally, I would chose the Subaru based on my own experience with both Subaru and Acura products.

I probably would go with the TSX because I wouldn't be use to the Legacy's frameless windows and small doors.

Wonder why you didn't consider the Mazda6?
Doesnt it fit in this comparison?

A Mazda 6 hatch-sedan for $32K and keep $8K in yer pocket?

Attention Mazda:  Add HID lighting to the option list for the 3 and the 6, IMMEDIATELY, you fools.  Oh, and side-bags for the 3 too, morons.

A Mazda 6 AWD "Sportwagon" for $33K with V-6 and all the goodies might keep Subaru Execs awake...

Vaki has said what the 2 choices are - why do ppl keep trying to inject other cars into the decision? Did you make a list and priorize it, Vaki? Stick with your two choices and pick one. I know which one I'd take but it doesn't matter as my motivation is not the same as yours.

Both are great cars. It boils down to what you are looking for in a car. It's personal preference and you can't really go wrong with either.

As for your question on Xenons, they are expensive to replace and can blind other drivers. Halogens seem adequate for me, but again, its personal preference.

Ovr50, i think i have made my choice. Its the TSX. I think both car are VERY equivilant! Honda and Subaru aim for different things when they made these two great cars. I choose the TSX just because i do not drive FAST! I jsut do not have much chance to...i usually do city drivings...traffic..etc. I just love the TSX, but the Legacy is a great deal, too!
Thanks for you guys replies!

Glad u are getting the tsx. (more LGT for me to choose!)

I suggest buying an antennae ball as u'll undoubtedly will find yourself entering into the wrong TSX on a parking mall lot.
