O.K. - I'm a self-professed H2 hater.  These things are the ultimate sign of excess and waste in our society - big for the sake of being big - retarded.

BUT

I have to confess the smaller H3 is somewhat appealling.  Kinda like a bigger Cherokee (complete with a seven-slot grill) and above-average SUV mileage (20 U.S. MPG is about what I get in my XJ).  The world doesn't need another SUV but this thing looks like the real-deal, not just a penis extender. Of course, they will be overpriced and not a single farmer will own one - but at least it is a real SUV - (At least what I can see)

The H1, H2 and H3 are all penis extenders.  It just depends on how big you want it.  The H1 interior was HORRIBLE.  The interior of the H2 was better but it was still sub-par.  Hopefully this H3 will have atleast a half assed interior.

I agree, Saint...the H3 looks like a Cherokee on steroids.  I'm not minding the look, though I'll probably be inclined to flip the bird at them when they hit the roads.  (I currently flip the bird discreetly to H2's a la FUH2.com)

BTW, I love your avatar...The Abominable!

I don't think people are buying Hummers for their interiors MDX...

The H1 was (and still is) the benchmark for off-road capabilities.  That's why it's such an icon in the "penis enlarger" department.

Isn't the H2 just a glorified Suburban?  And the H3 a glorified Colorado/Equinox?

That's true Davey.  But if I'm shelling out 80K for an H2...I want some level of fit and finish.  Guess that's why I have never considered one.

With the H2's on the road....I don't think half of them have touched dirt roads.  In fact, some even have chromed 24" rims with 30 series rubber.  Let's see you rock hop in that.

My dad's Dodge Shadow sees more dirt than most H2's.

Heck, when he had his 1985 Plymouth Reliant wagon he went on 'roads' where most SUV owners would feel the need to engage 4x4.  Once, while delivering camping supplies to my sister and her friends at a rural camping spot, he got stuck in some muddy ruts.  We jammed some pieces of firewood under the tires and drove out.  BTW, we nicknamed this car "The Hummer".

Jeff, you are one sick minded individual.  So am I.

It was actually my dad who started using the nickname first.  Uh, don't go there...

The H2 has a horrendous interior. The J.D. Power owner survey cited that #1 along with fuel economy with respect to owner complains, and was a major contributing reason the H2 was at the bottom of the survey of 'things gone wrong' along with the MINI (which owners love, but were troublesome) a year or two ago.

Makes me wonder if everybody hates this vehicle so much then Why are they selling so many? We have a new Dealership in London which is Caddi and Hummer combined and the 1st week of business they sold all 13 of them in stock and have been crying to obtain more of them from the factory. I heard they received 45 more and sold them within 3 weeks after that. You may not like the interior or other parts of it but 58 people in the London area will disagree with you.

The H2 sales have been declining....if it's new, everybody wants one...it'll be interesting to see if they can keep those sales up.

I guess a lot of people have a complex of inferiority in London...

I can tell you first-hand sales haven't been spectacular in Canada. They're okay, but not as good as first thought. And of course they'll sell some, because it's so unique and for a lot of people aspirational and maucho.

And keep in mind that there's VERY few dealers, which sell to a very wide geographical area. That one London dealer is selling far beyond the typical coverage of a dealer.

I'd bet half of those trucks in London are driving around the UWO Country Club.

What's the difference between a porcupine and a Hummer? --- with a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside. Ha, ha. Seriously though, it's interesting how many men will buy a vehicle like the Hummer as some kind of expression/extension of their masculinity. Maybe driving it gives them a sense of power that they so sadly lack in their own life?  Just a thought.

Again I hate Hummers in general. I laugh at the idiot down the street that takes 10-15 seconds to creep into his garage because if he goes full speed he will crash his roof-rack into the stop of the door..  I will challange him to an off-road trail anytime in my used Cherokee that I paid $65000 less for and win.

I think people hate the Hummers because they are big for the sake of being big.  It seems to me the smaller H3 is more proportional and looks a hell of a lot better.  Still waiting for someone else to come out with a real 4x4 for less than $30K.  Only a couple in this category - X-Terra, Liberty and Grand Viagra - the first two are about 800 lbs. heavier than they need to be.  The H3 isn't likely to be seen in any farmers driveway anytime soon...

I think SS needs to start his own auto manufacturer.  Building off road vehicles for under 30K and Mustangs for under 10K.

Nobody in London has a Inferiority Complex, London has more Millionaires per capita then any other City in the World. Personally I would rather have an Inferiority Complex then a Stupid Complex. Not like some folks I know.

I'd be in line to buy one of SS's 4x4 contraptions.
