Will be interesting if they start selling now, that's a lot of vehicle for the price of a Hornet
The base one appears to exist strictly in order to advertise a (relatively) low price point, and to be eligible for government rebates. There's zero options available and the higher trims cost a ton more.
Sort of like the RWD BMW 330e when it was priced at $44,900. Which no one bought.
There no trims, just two very expensive packages - I haven't tried the build & price yet to see what you can add to the 4xe. A neighbour has a base one, a '23 - probably pissed!
They are effectively trims. Choose the base one and you can pick one of five colours. There are no other options.
I played with the configurator a bit. A base $59,995 4xe is white, the four other colours are extra and indeed, no options.
The Altitude pkg includes just this for $15,600:
Automatic high-beam headlamp control
Capri leatherette seats
Door trim panel w/Vinyl armrest
Gloss Black exterior accents
LED fog lamps
Second-row heated seats
Universal garage door opener
Variable intermittent windshield wipers
... and some of that is already in the base model! But it allows you to add even more options, like tech, rear screens, pano roof etc. - all at extra cost.
The Anniversary Edition pkg, $18,400, adds this:
2 front tow hooks
Auto-dimming digital display rearview mirror
Anniversary Edition
Auto-dimming exterior driver mirror
Automatic high-beam headlamp control
Blue tow hooks
Bright dual exhaust tips
Capri leatherette seats with perforated inserts
Door trim panel w/Vinyl armrest
Front ventilated seats
Passive entry - front doors, rear doors & liftgate
Gloss Black exterior accents
Integrated Off-road camera
Intersection collision assist system
LED fog lamps
Memory steering column
Painted door cladding
Painted lower front fascia
Painted lower rear fascia
Painted Rocker panel cladding - lower
Painted wheel flares
Park-Sense® Front and Rear Park Assist with stop
Power tilt/telescope steering column
Rear back-up camera washer
Second-row heated seats
Second-row manual window shades
Surround View Camera System
Universal garage door opener
Upper front fascia
Upper Grille Texture-B
Wireless charging pad
Basically, stick with the base 4xe and forget about any options for the budget to make sense. The base already has 9-speaker audio, heated steering / front seats & rear seats, ventilated front seats, all driver aids except hands free, smart key, remote start, pano roof and the "Luxury tech Group II", unless they revised content from this 2024 e-brochure:
