Interesting concept and a slap in the face to the Lightning.Odd that they didn't mention the range in EV mode.
Interesting concept.. I guess the price will determine if it is a success or not.[The EV full size truck competition is expensive, I’d bet this is too. A little over $100k to start is my guess. When it comes to saving on fuel, people don’t seem to mind spending $20-30,000 up front over a ICE equivalent. I’m betting this will be a hit. While id probably never consider a full EV truck, this one hits the target. 145 miles of pure electric range is more than enough, and with the “generator” on-board we’re set to travel or tow like a ICE truck. As far as reliability, we’ll, that’s debatable. We know the pentastar is a proven engine, and what could possibly go wrong with all the EV stuff? Thought that was as reliable no matter what….In the end, great job Stelantis team for the first truly no compromise EV truck.
Unlimited? Don't think so.
Looks like a success on paper, however with the likely steep price for the generator model I don't know that they'll sell a ton of them. A couple of things that came to mind when reading the article:0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Nuts for a full size pickup, especially with the weight of this thing. Just thinking of all the bros driving around with that much power on tap A V6 for a generator, seems excessive, but I don't really know, and obviously they would know better. They likely just used it because its already available.New turbo engines by Stellantis. Yay.

The idea is spectacular, this makes WAYYYY more sense than all that EV crap, but its a Ram. They sold the Cummins with a bad transmission for decades, the Hemi had a tick problem with its lifters for ages, plus never mind the electrical issues thats a standard in all Chrysler vehicles, plus how garbage that italian Eco diesel was....$100k is a lot to roll the dice on a company like this.

Looks like a great idea! Especially for trucks that get used a lot in rural areas. GM management, go slap yourselves
