My new Red CX5 Signature
« on: March 30, 2023, 07:31:50 pm »
Today was the day I picked her up.
After one year of testing Q3, Volvo XC40 and X3 I finally put a deposit on a red CX5 Signature on Family day.
Now there are 2 red Mazdas in my household. MX30GT the wife Mobil and the CX5.
Once I figure out how to take pics that are not too large in size I can post some.
But I知 sure you all know how the cx5 looks in case I cannot take small file size picture.

Congrats! Yeah, I know what they look like, but of course pics are always appreciated.  ;)

I will say I知 not usually a fan of red cars, but definitely make an exception for the Mazdas. Whatever that red of theirs is, it looks really sharp!

So just over a month then. That's not bad at all. Perfect time of year to get a new car too

Congrats on the new CX5. I obviously approved as I have also ordered one. So great to hear that after all that cross shopping you went with Mazda because I spent over a year doing the same. My testing involved CX30, CX50, Audi Q3, BMW X2, BMW X1 (not the current version) and Volks Taos. My wife is thrilled the auto shopping is over.

Would love to hear some of your ownership thoughts once you get a few kms under your belt. But with a new one coming my way, I only want to hear the good things.  :D

So we looked at similar vehicles and choose wisely.
I値l definitely only share the positives. So far:
Car had 6 km when I picked it up.
The Napa leather is soooo smooth.
The cooling seats are amazing, 18 degrees and instead of turning on the AC I use the cooling seat. Wow cannot believe I leaved without.
The gear changes are smooth and buttery.
The HUD is also very nice, still getting used to it, shows speed limit and stop signs together with turn by turn direction if you use the built in nav system.
The 360 camera is fantastic, especially in tight spaces.

Congrats on your new CX-5.

Unlike you, when we got ours, we knew exactly what car we wanted, and didn't bother test driving any others (with a small exception being the Crosstrek, but we didn't test drive it).

I truly believe that if you can live with the compromise of smaller dimensions, it is the best compact CUV on the market currently, and that includes some of the more luxury offerings.

Nice choice and congrats!

This one was parked beside me when i got back from walking the dog this morning and looks almost new.  Not normally a fan of red on anything other than sports cars but that Mazda red looks great!  Saw a CX-9 in that same colour yesterday. 8)

Great choice, CX-5 has been my favorite in the segment.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

No, his CX-5 is a signature, so it's the 2.5T.

When we bought ours, the dealer had a 2016 on their lot, too.  I pointed out to the salesguy that the from the A-pillar back, the 2016 is essentially identical to the 2017+  Different tailights, but that's basically it.  The 2017 refresh was simply A-pillar forward, and the interior of course.

Yikes! No wonder it showed up quick.  ;D The poverty specs are what has huge demand. $45k!  :o

I take it back. $52k  :o
