Someone is going to have to buy a set. Made in the USA I see.

When I bought it the driver's side rear signal and brake lights did not work. Since them neither side works. Not bulbs unfortunately.

I discovered some disconnected wires and a bit of a wiring mess from the trailer wiring. The bumper is seriously heavy! A rather awkward one person job but do-able.

I decided to remove the hitch and associated wiring.

Then cleaned up the stock wiring to get the lights working again. I need to straight then chrome signal light cover on the passenger side a bit more before re-installing the lens.

Ripped out the seemly non-functional brake controller.

Yup. No interest it sorting the tow controller and wiring when I can just use the truck.

Does that decal says Cowboys?

Yes. The front license plate frame is a Dallas Cowboys one. Someone was a fan I guess.

Dallas Cowboys? Looks like the logo from Cowboys bar in Calgary. I wonder if that rig had steer horns on it at some point.

You are correct. That might be the Cowboys Calgary logo. Interesting.

That is a good looking beige beast. I have one of those 14" hub caps now since eBay sellers can't measure.

It looks good but has been sitting since around 2005. It quit on its original owner and got parked. I managed to get it to run at 500 rpm with my foot to the floor…then a huge fireball through the throttle body ruined the fun. I think the fibre timing gear let go. Not sure yet if I’ll bother to “save” this one.

Probably only worth it if a rusty but good running parts car came along. If you look at the price of Cadillac parts on eBay it might be worth parting out if that is the case. Too bad since its the coupe.

I have ordered new tires. Not to be installed until the 24th. :(

So a few small victories until then.

One of my rear side markers was broken. Amazingly I found all the pieces and it was only big chunks.

I was able to glue it back together. Not perfect but pretty decent for now. One has to be really close to see it.

My hood ornament was missing so I bought a replacement from a Cadillac forum and installed it. Hopefully no one steals/breaks this one. But having one at the end of that long hood is certainly part of the experience.

Is it me or there's a notch / rip in the middle of the rear frame crossmember, right in the middle?

Yeah. Someone snipped a bit of metal out to fit the tow hitch. I might need to weld in some replacement metal but the thickest bit is still there.

I picked up my tires today. This bus project was in the same parking lot. Huge project!

I spent a huge amount of time researching white wall tires. Finally found a Canadian supplier and after two weeks they sent me ... the black wall version. D'oh.

Not my DTS. Only one Cadillac.

I *think* I am good for parts for now. But thank you. Insurance next week and I can actually drive it. Then I'll know better.  ;D

New tires on. Unfortunately they arrived without the white wall so they do not look as good as they could. Hood ornament and replacement hub cap installed.

Black walls look good.  What, are you in a tree taking that pic?  ;D

Can you strip the vinyl off that roof?

Looking really good, I am impressed that the filler plates all seem to be intact. Those seem to disintegrate on Caddy's from the era.
