I bought something new (to me). It has been something I have wanted for a very long time but not my usual fare. It is awesome. The wife absolutely hates it. Probably the most of anything I have bought. I had to put it in the garage as it was apparently going to bring down the property values.

Guessing game? This one is tricky. Here are some terrible clues.

The engine is well set back. Almost front mid engine. It had a relatively high MSRP when new but I bought it cheaply (it has a few needs but drove home under its own power).

Its got a relatively large engine. I've never owned this marque before.

Man, I don't know.  So little information.  An old 90's era Jag XJS?

That Chevy thing that looks like an old hot rod? SSR I think it was?

Nope. Maybe it was Chrysler. Hot rod thing with exposed front suspension arms.

Plymouth Prowler!

I like this guess, wife acceptance factor would absolutely be low on something like that! Not sure that the V6 qualifies as "large" engine but still a good guess.

I was thinking some kind of van, one where you have to access the engine from inside the vehicle.  Not that familiar with van models or years, but it was the first kind of vehicle I thought of with the clues provided.  The problem is, anything American I would think he'd likely have owned the brand before.  So I tend to think it'll have to be European or Asian.  So maybe one of those VW Westfalia's?  Or maybe a Mitsubishi awd van thingy's, the only Delica?

^^ Yes I thought that had possibilities but he mentioned large displacement. A friend has a 72 E series. It had  a straight 6 in it ,he swapped in  a 302. Both are not very large engines. Dent has owned Fords in the past (Fox body Mustang)

We need more hints. ;)

I like the ‘70s van idea too. Especially if it’s got a Viking with a sword and half-naked women painted on the side!! :rofl2:

Those might be kinda front-mid engined, but doubt it would fit in the garage.

Or a Toyota Previa. Those weren't cheap.

93-01 Camaro/Firebird had engines set wayyyy back. Most of the engine was under the cowl/dash.

That’s my guess.

Maybe even before the Previa? Just the Toyota Van LE, or DLX? They were quite ugly & probably a high enough MSRP.

None of those.  ;D

Its American and from the 80s. V8 engine. Large engine for my standards but not particularly powerful.

Not nearly Prowler money either.  :)
