Olds Toronado
Yeah, maybe. Or the Cadillac Elderado or Buick Riviera of the 80's front wheel drive trio.

Getting close ... its not front wheel drive.

Its got a motorized soft close trunk  :rofl2:

I plan to auto-x it ... at least once.

I bought it off a guy who also had a 600+ hp Nissan Skyline GTR  :rofl2:

It also had front fender turn signal indicator for the driver on the front fender.

I’m starting to think it’s something like an Excalibur actually.

Close ... 1989 Cadillac Brougham d'Elegance in hearing aid beige. I don't love the colour but its cool otherwise. Needs a little love. Signal lights need some work and a heater core. The vinyl top is toast and cruise does not work. Neither of which is likely to be fixed.

"powered" by a 140hp 307 Oldsmobile V8 with a carb (in 1989!)

I love the colour. Interior the same colour? Poor old 307. Solid engine just small.

That’s cool! I’d way rather have one of those than a Prowler.

Interior is in good shape. Cleaned up nicely. See between those two front seats? There is another seat belt. In theory that is a "seat" of some kind.  ;D

Its got an earlier grill on it. No evidence of collision damage so someone might have preferred the earlier one.

The very front of the engine is over the front axle.

It *just* fits in the garage. I had to disassemble my work bench to get it in. I want to say its like 4ft longer than the Austin.  :rofl2: Wife does not want it on the driveway since its "embarrassing" somehow.

Epic!

The total opposite of those little British cars

That's a lot of engine bay to lean over to get at anything

WOW! That is super cool but not surprising for you.

These are super long, even longer than a current Escalade (221.0 vs 203.9 inches).

Love it.  Nice buy.

Probably no pimping of the rims. I am missing on wire hub cap so I'll need to find one.

Comparison to my Austin
 - wheel base - 121.5" vs 92.5"
 - length - 158.5" vs 221.0" (so 5 1/4 feet shorter  :rofl2:)

Had the same engine in a 1987 Caprice something or other.  Not as slow as one would think it would be.

Congrats.  Power windows all work?

Looking at that engine it's notable that all the different systems have their own belt drives.  If the AC compressor seizes all that is necessary is a belt removal.  Everything remains operational and stress free.

All the windows work even the sunroof. Only the cruise control and indicators (turn on but don't blink so I am hoping its the flasher unit) don't from what I found yesterday.

Given the lazy rear diff ratio (2.73:1 plus an overdrive automatic) the performance is not bad. I think part of it that old moldy trick of giving lots of throttle with little pedal movement initially and the low down torque (255lb-ft @2000 rpm). I get the impression flooring does not give much more than driving normally.
