Nice! Just like my White Appliance, except I've gotta roofbox on it now.

Looks Sweede!  :D

I was browsing Kijiji yesterday and noticed a white 2022 XC-60 for sale local to me.  Not the I6 obviously so I wouldn't touch it with any money and certainly not at $59k.  At least i think that's what they were asking.  Looked for the ad today but it's gone.  Not surprised but makes me wonder why it's being sold so soon.

Edit: ad is still there.... https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1643382445

I suppose the price is not out of line, but doesn't interest me with that drive train.

The current drive train is just a make do until they go all electric.

Is this the purchase that was going on for many, many, many, months for the daughter?  If so nice choice at least pertaining to safety.

Yeah it passed the test for running trouble free the last month or so. Started right up at -27 after a 3 day cold soak. We dropped out of the 2024 Crosstrek list.

It has a good safety suite for 2016 that works well. It has an eyesight (similar to the Subaru's?)  forward collision system, side warnings, rear cross traffic assist, front and rear parking radar and of course weighs a ton and is built like a tank. It has a ton of ground clearance for winter (9.1" is that right?). It's very easy to drive. A little heavy on fuel but that cuts down on frivolous trips lol.

Volvos have always been known for structural integrity regardless of the new electronic aids.

I've owned 2 Volvos for the wife for that reason.

How is the engine? How does it feel and run? Don't care about fuel economy :)

How is the AWD system in the snow? I think these were Haldex based if I am not mistaken.

Runs well. Very smooth and quiet. Wall of torque down low when cruising so engine doesn't downshift much. When floored it punches hard, possibly Volvo's best engine, worlds better than the high output version of the 2.5T in my old V70R.

The haldex is fine for a slip and grip system. Don't see any slip before gripping. Again the 5th gen system is better than what was in the V70R (third gen)

I have had two real Quattro  and 3 Haldex cars     I would happily put up with the slight drop in economy and have real AWD.   Granted one of the Haldex cars was the Golf  R which I never drove in slippery conditions
I would have/have had a Subaru if they would only put a proper transmission in it, a ZF or Aisin 8 speed automatic or a DSG.

Yep, no question, the best engine by far in Volvo history.

Yeah these aren't for handling they are to provide traction in nasty conditions which they seem to achieve. As long as they don't require much maintenance  and don't break it's good enough for their intended purpose.

Wife is drawn to these. The solid feel, the obvious dedication to safety, and the stylish interiors and exteriors really appeal

The Fast Lane took a 2013 out for a off-road excursion. It seemed to do just fine. Lots of ground clearance and short overhangs.

Great looking SUV, looks at home in the snow, and glad to hear that it's being enjoyed. Might be one of the last great Volvos
