That's what more than many buyers want. 2 doors and a hatch. Save the 4 door units for the SUVs and the Accord crowd.
Two door coupes are basically non-existent today because people didn't buy them.
The main stream didn't buy them. The "value buyers". The Kia, Hyundai, Escape, Trailbazer et al crowd. But Acura isn't a main stream supplier. Acura buyers are willing to pay a wee bit more.
The TLX is a DISASTER. 4 Doors yes
Ever tried getting into the back seat of one of those? Maybe the average Japanese person, but it's kids only and TLX buyers don't have kids so the back seats hold the coats.
$37K for a base Integra OK. $50K for the top edition just stupid and Honda is figuring that out. Honda of late has wasted so much money on their 4 door offerings that are market failures.
2 door, 272 HP hatches with manuals would sell out at the
Honda Acura price point.
