BIG car. Little motor. And a CVT. What a winning combo! All the journos seem to have been primed by Honda to rave about the AMAZING fuel economy. And that's a good thing, but not something I care a great deal about.
Can't get excited about these either, especially where I can get a Civic Si, with a brilliant manual, and get a combined fuel mileage close to this Hybrid Accord (so far I am averaging 6L/100kms since I bought last April).
You are definitely the minority, of course. I'm sure the only folks who'll lament the passing of a stick-shift Accord are those of us here who wouldn't have bought one anyway.
My stick-shift Jetta is nearly as spacious as the Accord and I'm averaging 5.8 L/100 km overall over the past few years I've had it. Astonishingly efficient.
