They gotta stop with this pure EV truck nonsense. It makes sense for passenger cars, but not trucks.
Just give us a PHEV
With 80km of range, and a gas range extender.
Why would they?! 80% of the population doesn’t tow - not necessary…
ICE trucks will continue to exist, only downfall will be gas @$5/L - and that will bring the end of the truck era to everyone that thinks they need one but all they really need is a Prius

So, why do you have a Lightning, then? Seems to me that a Mach E (which makes sense as an EV) would fill all your needs. Not sure why you need a big honking truck if you're not doing any towing or hauling (which is what trucks are for!)
I still need a truck to haul 1/4 down, dirt, rocks, bikes, 4x8s, drywall, helping friends move...I am not towing but still using the rest of bed with minimum impact to range. So I still love the light utility I get out of my 1/2 ton.
if the Mach E fit a 4x8 sheet (like the Explorer does) I would have for sure considered one.
in the near future though, we will be for sure talking about the utility...but I think a lot of people won't be able to afford their 1/2 ton anymore - which makes the use case for the Maverick brilliant and the reason it exists...! that sweet $30k 4x4 1/2 ton is gone with the wind, if that's all you can pay...you can buy a Maverick now.
