There are a bunch not on that list that I would have added, Nissan Z, Lotus Emira, BMW M2, just to name a few.

When it becomes a Hybrid or PHEV, so likely the next generation or more.  That being said, why would they even be pressured to do so, it's already the fastest around a track of all the hot hatches.  In order to be the fastest 0-60 they wouldn't just need AWD, they'd need an automatic, likely a DSG.

just wondering,  I've driven few 250+ HP FWD (GTI)  I always feel you can only do so much with FWD.

Regarding Korean EVs; as on March 31st, 2023, none will be eligible for the US Federal EV subsidy until 2027 when their first US battery plant will be up and running.

Although already popular options in the segment, the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon return for 2023 with all-new and impressive visual upgrades both inside and out, and some real power. The standard turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine for all versions will be offered in three different states of tune. The trucks will include serious feature upgrades and, most importantly, the magnificent ZR2 version returns.

That one in the photo I bettya runs $70K CAD.  2.7 4 banger ... that's real power  ???

New Mustang looks pretty good from the photos.  Looks like they mostly resolved the swollen jaw look of the last couple of models.

Not exactly new, just an older car with an added feature, mind you the most important feature.

Well the previous type R might be the fastest FWD hot hatch ever to be made, even the new version is no faster.

The only EV that I am looking forward to reading about is the new Chevy Equinox EV, cheap AWD CUV with a bit of power and range.

That is a huge market sweet spot

The friend we have with a Bolt really likes it despite the battery issues, this should be a winner if GM can assemble it correctly. If not it could break the company

Same with most every imports.

No battery plants in US.
