That being said, why would they even be pressured to do so, it's already the fastest around a track of all the hot hatches. The only EV that I am looking forward to reading about is the new Chevy Equinox EV, cheap AWD CUV with a bit of power and range.
Regarding Korean EVs; as on March 31st, 2023, none will be eligible for the US Federal EV subsidy until 2027 when their first US battery plant will be up and running.
No battery plants in US. plus Canada or Mexico which is pretty darn lucky for Canada.
