Sorry, Jeff old boy, I am going to have to vehemently disagree with you on this one. I have in fact had strong emotional responses to previous Priuses, and even physical ones, generally ending with wretching into my mouth a little bit.
I really like the changes here, and I will be taking a close look at the PHEV version when it comes out. Great review, Jeff, with the obvious exception of my first point. 
Haha, good point... many people did have strong emotional responses... and so too will they to this new one, both positive and negative. But, the mandate was to make a very basic, plain car, presumably one that wouldn't have garnered much response from anyone, positive or negative.
