Hmmmm....not sure I'm buying a clogged cabin filter could increase in fuel consumption by 50%...

Surely this is a typo??

Changing your cabin air filter is easy enough for most drivers to tackle at home, with replacement filters running between $35 and $75 for most vehicles. If yours is clogged, your engine could be using 50 per cent more fuel than it needs to.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Yeah, they should have said “engine” air filter.

Either way, it’s out to lunch. No way a dirty engine air filter is going to increase your fuel usage by 50%.

Maybe 5%, but I‘d doubt even that.

Some reasonable suggestions.  But the last one ... renting your car out ???

Who insures your vehicle?  It sure won't be your own insurance company.

Although I did waste money on a new battery this fall...had hopes of putting plates on it for a little while...poofed! into thin air...  :'(

Which reminds me...#9 - buy mouse traps.

Using cruise control is the most efficient on the highway, but drivers can really use it any time it’s safe to drive at a steady speed. Use your car’s cruise control whenever you can, and it can cut your fuel use in those instances by 25 to 35 per cent (or closer to 50 per cent if you’re not particularly good at holding a steady speed on the highway).

Those percentages seem very high to me unless they are talking about drivers that only mash the throttle to only mash the brakes every 15 seconds because they are too stupid to see what is ahead or around them.

Sounds like they're just making up crazy numbers. ???

Pritchard is usually decent, but some of those numbers seem a bit much.

I want sources to back up the numbers.  ;)

Also underinflated tires give a smooth no-bump ride in the winter compensating for the frozen suspension.  ;D

1. Reduce the number of wheels.  :P
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.
