Full electric delivery vans are to be built there with a lot of Canadian components, from steel to batteries.

It's not exactly modern is it, looks like the late 90's is here again.

90's are the new 20's  :D

There are only so many ways to design a box. Function over futuristic styling, weird windows and slanted roof in this case, me think.

Great news.  1/2 Billion straight from the taxpayer or should I say 1/2 Billion financed by future generations for 400 jobs and production will start slow, with just a few thousand vehicles annually,

Looks fine to me.  What's the range at -20C?  Intended for warm climate US states only?  Can it operate at highway speeds?

250 miles in likely above zero temps. GM does have battery expertise, so with a heat pump warming the cold temp drop should be reasonable.

Better invested in Canada than into foreign wars with no chance or repayment.

The perfect shape for a fleet running around a city with a pile of boxes. Can see electrics being a great powertrain here. Back to base every night to recharge, idling no issue, lot of torque for dealing with traffic, low maintenance, powertrain lasting basically forever

You'd probably be okay if Trudeau gave Putin a couple of billion to develop an Electric Lada  though. :P

Canada has contributed next to nothing to date.  Enough empty promises though to get Trudy and his MOM some sweet photo ops in the Ukraine.

This 500 MIL; I suppose it's the way things are done these days.  Spent 73 Billion at least on CERB.  600 BILLION pumping money into assets.  Neither productive.  At least this is.

Should have told GM "Hey, remember screwing us over on the bailout??"

That's nothing compared to Petro Canada and the giant of all public funded sink holes, Bombardier.
