Well if I could add some controversy, there was this article that the new Prius is as fast as the first gen FRS/BRZ/86.  :rofl2: The comments on Facebook were hilarious, a lot of people were very offended.  :rofl2:

Why would anyone be surprised about that? A Sienna is probably faster than many sporty cars....

In the AoA video he said 0-60 in 6.6 seconds for the Prime per the Toyota package he has.

Remember these Subaru ads.

Looks great.  Headroom might be an issue in the rear seat.

I'm #1 on the wait list at one lot and I'm #2 at another lot for a new Prius Prime. XSE Premium in Red.

One lot required a deposit, the other didn't until MSRP is announced.

So we'll see.

Sweet!  Man, the new Prius must be impressive if you are willing to make the switch.  Am I wrong to say that they have not announced fuel economy yet either?

Well I'm not sure if I'm willing to make the switch. But it seems like you have to get on a list even if your remotely interested.

Fuel economy I've read is supposed to be incrementally better (1-2mpg) but EV range 50 percent better.

I really like the looks.

With all the improvements in looks and power, even marginal FE gains are huge.

It's quite extraordinary that MPG can go up when going from featherweight 15" aluminum wheels to 19".

That alone is mighty impressive.

None.

It's my understanding that press testing takes place next week and embargo until mid December.

Then more concrete info at that time.

That could be the perfect car for my son but if he tries to put a deposit at any Quebec dealer he'll be number 1000 + on the waiting list.  :P

Motormouth's first look inside and out.

I think it looks rather good and substantial.
