Looks like there will be a $3k to $4k price increase across the board for the new Mustang. So the Dark Horse should start around $75k. I’m basing this off the US price increases.
I hope they increase the quality of the fit and finish because the last gen was marginal at best.
What happened to cheap muscle cars?
LOL, I love how you ask for better fit and finish and then immediately ask what happened to the cheap muscle car. Ummm, what do you want, cheap or nice, you can’t have both.
You literally just qualified what I was saying. The Mustang is neither cheap, nor nice. Either give it decent fit and finish for $75K or price it at $40K and keep the marginal quality.
You sure you are an accountant?

I have sat in the previous generation and the generation before that, not to mention the two prior. If you think the current generation had a bad interior and fit and finish, you should go back to the other gens to see just how far they have gone. If you are expecting German or Japanese levels of fit and finish you are going to be really disappointed. If however you are looking for a muscle car with sports car traits first and foremost, it’ll have that in abundance.
I had a 1987 Notchback. 5.0 with manual, 3.73 rear end and roll up windows. The interior quality was horrid but at $11K, or the price of an Accord at the time, I didn't give a crap as much.
But the current gen Mustang has other issues. Most have misaligned body panels, crooked hoods, etc. It isn't the quality of plastics used that gives me pause - it is how it is screwed together.
