I remember when the 2005 Mustang came out - It was a complete departure from the preceding model.  And was it ever successful.  Every single Mustang since has had basically the same design elements.

Is it going to be an electric minivan? Ford will apparently slap the Mustang name on anything.

While the looks are important, I am more interested in performance.  Will it be a step forward?  Will it be heavier or lighter?  Will there be a V8 and manual?

From those pictures it doesn’t look radically different, which isn’t a bad thing because the current Mustang is not a bad looking vehicle.  I was really disappointed with the last generation reveal.  The media was hyping it up and expectations were high, then it was revealed with not much performance and heavier.

Looks like they are using BMW's screen supplier as well...expect this trend to grow
I love it when a plan comes together.

I would be interested into an electric minivan, whatever the name on it  :P (as long its pricing makes sense)
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

The Corolla forum is to the right.

The GR Corolla that is.

The way the market is heading, you shouldn't have long to wait.

Updated V8 and manual transmission will continue to be offered.

Ford is selling so many EVs that they do not need to dump a hybrid or an EV powertrain on the Mustang yet. Thanks Mach E and Lightning…

Surprised at how wide the rear track is.  I’m digging the rear haunches.

Looks like they haven’t done anything about that bulbous and too-tall hood. I like the car otherwise, but that’s always killed it for me.

Can’t help but think of this every time I see one:

Looks decent, power I guess is supposed to be north of 470hp, so likely 475hp.  The Dark Horse trim seems like a fitting name.  The drift stick is just a novelty and something that will send a lot of these stangs into the curbs and ditches as a lot of drivers won't know what they are doing (me included).  Interior is decent and I love the idea of selecting a gauge cluster that mimics a fox body gauge cluster.  Doesn't sound like they did a crazy amount with the chassis/suspension/etc.  I wonder if the manual transmission is now fixed and no longer has the issues the current GT has.  Considering there likely won't be a next generation Camaro, Ford didn't really have to push the envelope.  Overall, I think it's decent and who can complain about a good looking V8 muscle car with a manual transmission.

I wonder if using the drift stick will void your warranty like using the line-lock did.

Front end looks like they halfassed it.  I suppose that has more to do with pedestrian safety - what with the new drift brake and all...surely the Mustang's penchant for plowing people on public property presented a problem for which only a preposterous proboscis proposed by the product planners at PlayShool, precisely for added protection of said public, was the purpose of said plastic preposterousity.  Pbpbpbpbpbpbb....

Maybe it's meant to coddle it's victims in a box of love instead of sending them to a coffin.

Not a fan...yet.

Probably will look better in person...

Side profile comparison.  Softened it up a bit.  Just like me!!

Removes any reason to shi# on Chevy for the Camaro's clip...

Winner at the bottom.
