800V architecture, Dodge claims it'll be faster than a Hellcat, and that "Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust" is so Dodge! EV motor sound will be amped up and pumped out through an "exhaust" , with the promise of up to 126 db. An EV that will rattle the tree huggers!

Also: awd, and a multi-speed transmission.

That's the front of the car:

Story says this is a hatchback, with fold down rear seats.

I watched the video with the sounds that the concept car makes and have to say it's much better than any other EV, but certainly not as good as a true ICE vehicle.  It's a good compromise.  Looks really good and I'm sure the performance will be excellent (acceleration that is).  I still lament the demise of the manual transmission.

Its a good looking thing....too bad about the drivetrain. If Dodge has done nothing else right in the last decade, their Hellcat/SRT line was AMAZING because of the awesome V8 sounds.
Lighten up Francis.....

Yes, V8's sound nice, but it's like we're lamenting the sound of 24-pin home printers. The writing is on the wall, Ford even hinted that the V8 is gone from the Mustang by 2028.

Gross, I'll be over here yelling at clouds. I gotta get me a V8 sports car of some sort before they all go full golf cart, I'm sorry, but the radio shack remote control car sound of an electric car doesn't excite me. Even worse if it has fake vroom vroom sounds......

I felt the same until I started driving the things (original Leaf excepted  ;D)

I like it in terms of styling apart from the fat C pillar.

I wonder if it will be AWD....and 6500 lbs. :o

Even after riding and driving several EV’s (Model s, X, Bolt, and a Leaf) I just can’t get excited about them. Almost as if they’re killing the car enthusiast in me, something is just missing and no amount of instant torque or sub 3 second 0-60 times can fill the void.

I’m going to start saving now for some killer awesome gas powered beast. I’ll end up with a EV as my appliance to and from town and I fully appreciate them for that.

Pricing starts at $75,635; less than 5-grand over a base Charger Hellcat. And production is limited to 501-units, just like the 1969 Charger Daytona.

My friends and I like (and a few of them own) V8 muscle cars, I was planning on getting a new Camaro SS before they end production.

At least you've tried an EV, I've heard this sentiment a lot from people that haven't actually driven them... I was one of them. But I had the chance to actually drive a Model Y Performance, I was expecting it to drive like a fridge on wheels. Actually driving it was an absolute revelation ... just WOW, I couldn't have been more wrong about these and I'm glad I drove it before buying the Camaro.

Perhaps I am far behind progress, but all modern cars seem to me a compromise (((The appearance is not as aggressive as the old ones, but the transition from gasoline engines to electric ...

More details revealed at SEMA. Fun play with history with versions named "340" and "440", the actual power in kW. It just dawned on me that this is a coupe, not a sedan.

And, finally, designers discover ... sidewall !!
