THX. The hybrid looks like a great deal. I like the appearance. I'd take the badges off.
As the Savage says; no one could guess what it was sans the giant H on the grill.

The US market has 6 trims levels:1.5 turbo 2 trimsLXEXHybrid 4 trimsSportEX-LSport-LTouringHonda Canada's website offers just 3 trims:1.5 turbo - EXHybrid - SportHybrid - TouringThe problem is that the Sport and Hybrid come with 19 inch wheels and tires which hit fuel economy, the sweet spot IMO is the Hybrid EX-L offered in the US but not in Canada that comes with leather but the smaller 17 inch wheels and tires. Also, the starting price in Canada is $37,000 + freight, PDI and taxes for the cheapest trim.
Wasn't THAT long ago that the Accord topped out at the price point where it now starts.

The Accord is now basically a niche car in Canada.

2011: Tsunami year for Honda. Wiped out the chip supply. It looks like now they are selling half the vehicles and making twice the $$. Of course no one forces people to buy new, just drive what you have and voila; Cuba!
I have even seen a 2007 Civic with 224,000 miles selling for over $8,000 this week.

Of course no one forces people to buy new, just drive what you have and voila; Cuba! While shortages in supply can benefit certain businesses, the downside is that used cars will continue to become more expensive in the future, just as they are now. Currently, people are paying exorbitant prices for used cars, I have even seen a 2007 Civic with 224,000 miles selling for over $8,000 this week. If this trend continues, it is uncertain what the future holds for the affordability of used cars in North America, which used to be known for offering affordable new vehicles.
