That's really, really cool, but I'm too (selectively) cheap to spend that kind of money.

Here we goooo...

Conversion was a success. A few kinks needed to be worked out re: shifter cable adjustments, but she's on the road now. Major service is done too, added a flip-out Pioneer deck with CarPlay/new speakers, and sporting new Michelin Pilot 4S rubber.

Just needs to be tuned and I'll be commuting in it by mid-next week hopefully!

Looks like a clean job! With all of these conversions, I'm starting to wonder if the F1-equipped cars are going to gain value further down the road...

360 major service isn't engine out. Belts, tensioners, everything can be accessed without removing the engine.

Looks like a clean job! With all of these conversions, I'm starting to wonder if the F1-equipped cars are going to gain value further down the road...

I wondered this too, but man, just how bad it is to drive with the F1 transmission alone will keep those values down.

If these are so bad why were so many sold with the F1 transmission? Along with so many late 355s. It's a bit perplexing.

I'm guessing rich people who wanted the glamour and recognition of driving a Ferrari, but couldn't / didn't want to drive manual?

How many Ferrari’s before this offered an automatic and maybe it was the F1 branding of the transmission that was appealing?

Not many - really just the 2+2s that I'm aware of. The F1 transmission first came in the 355 IIRC, then proliferated to the 360, 575, etc.

Our managing editor at DC got a photoshoot done on the 360 for an upcoming Enthusiast's Corner road test review. Thought I'd share a preview  :)
