Took some photos for the First Drive that's going live on DC on Monday... kind of neat since none of the Canadian media are getting to touch a Launch Edition until the spring. Figured you guys would also appreciate!

GawdDAMN that is a sexy car.  Well done, and if I haven't said it before, Congratulations.  I can't wait to read the review.  Do you now get to write off the price of the car, seeing as you had to buy one in order to get an exclusive review for your car rag?

When you say 'only allotment for Canada, or Ontario, or wherever', do you mean allotment of IS500's, or just the Launch edition?

Thanks man! Appreciate it. It's already bought as a company car under one of my businesses.

From what I understand, it's one of less than ten total Launch Edition allocations for Canada over the next year, and so far, the only one we know of in Ontario. Let's see how long that lasts, but my official Lexus window sticker does say "Vehicle #1 for Destination: Canada", and a part that says "Factory Order by: The Hire", where obviously it says my real name and not my forum name  :)

I'm going to frame that for my office, just like the window sticker for the Vantage, M5, and a couple others that I have. :)

Amazing vehicle and I love the colour!

I actually saw a black on black IS500 in-stock at Lexus of London earlier this week, but its gone from their website now.

Did the same with my A3 e-tron the very week I picked it up in 2017, none of these ever appeared in press fleets. Trader exclusive, in English, no less  ;)

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'm loving it. It's dry out so I've been driving it a bit - up to 498km now. Halfway through break-in! I filled the tank and washed it last night, so I'll probably let it sit for a couple weeks now.

I meant for 2017 and 2018  ;) And the car received a bunch of updates and content changes for 2017 on top of that.

Come to think of it, we hardly get ANY Audi's in fleet.

Been a while since I watched a review, but I did watch this one. Yeah, the AutoOne car was actually brought in from the US and marked up (they're a well known used car dealer).

I've also had a few outlets even offer money to review my car, because Toyota Canada won't have a 500 on the press fleet until the spring.

Just hit the 1,000km mark! As of last week, driving it daily now. Once the salt's gone in the next couple of weeks, I'll be circulating through the toys as well, so it won't be seeing as much, but right now it's doing about 200-300km a week.

Nice! The only way I put that much mileage a week is when I'm heading to the ski hills, I drive 4km to the gym & back, and that's about it :rofl:

Yeah my daily commute is 24km round trip. Any other errands (groceries, etc.) are within a couple of kilometres, and if we're going grocery shopping we usually take Mrs. Hire's V90 because it's easier to toss crap into.
