I can see a movie bad guy riding in the back of this.

Totally.   :D

Only if it's a Korean movie 😉

There's also a LWB model:

Love the wheels on both models that have been shown. A bit too much chrome for my tastes though. It doesn't need to be blacked out or anything but the vertical trim pieces on the doorframes of the LWB model are a bit garish.

Video walkaround and interior of the G90.  I will say that white is NOT the most flattering choice for this BIG car.  And one interior detail has me scratching my head.

SavageGeese - who usually savages any Korean products - gives this one a good review.

To any forum members triggered by the one passing 'annihilates the Lexus LS' comment, sorry / not sorry.  ;D

Nice car indeed. Really dig the current Genesis look inside and out. And I’d sure hope it would best a nearly 6 year old Lexus LS.

Wow, has it really been that long for the current LS? I see them almost never - probably why I felt like it was more recent than that.  Of course, S Class excepted, big luxury sedans are an increasingly rare sight. Last time I saw an A8 was..... no idea.

And it’s really too bad you don’t see new big sedans. There’s some great offerings out there. Now all anyone wants is big luxo SUV’s. I see more Cullinans and Bentagas here than big sedans from any make.

I just hope Lexus has a new LS in the works so I can dream about owning one.

Meh, I am the biggest LS fanboy there is and I just didn't love the latest one. The V6 doesn't suit the car as much as the V8 did and the design looks too much like the ES.

You mean the ES looks like the LS?

LS design dropped first. :)

And I think both look better than the previous LS....though something can be said for the previous under the radar design.

Yeah, doesn't matter which dropped first, they look the same.

I prefer the '07-17 LS 460 design - one of the most understated and timeless looks, like the '98-00 LS 400 which always looked better than the blobby LS 430. The current one will not age nearly as well as the 460.

I'd narrow that down to '07 to '15 - or whatever year they decided to graft the Predator grille onto that very classy and understated design.  Looked a bit like James Bond wearing a tuxedo and for some reason, a Halloween mask. And yes, that model has aged EXCEPTIONALLY well.  Still looks like something premium rolling down the highway.

As for current ES / LS sameness - I went to the last pre-Covid auto show and had to literally look at the badges to tell them apart.

I didn't like the interior from 07-12.

Liked the interior when they affixed the predator grille in 2013.

Would like a 2013+ in Fire Agate.
