They should've made it with the Rav4 Prime drivetrain and a stick...then you'd get shitload of power AND fantastic economy. Right?  Might be a bit of a porker, but so what.
Thanks...But no thanks.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Man maybe I should hold off on getting that Civic Si if this thing can deliver the goods.  My only worry with this is it might be priced high and have performance closer to the WRX and GTI, than the Type R and Golf R.

Won’t be long now:

I'd be shocked if this comes to Canada for under $40K and $39,999 doesn't count.  :P

What is the mid point between the GT86 and the base model Supra?  That’s where I think it will be me up.

Hmmm, I wonder if they will have multiple trim levels or if it’ll be like the Golf R, Type R, and Elantra N, which are all just one trim level.

I believe the reveal is tomorrow. Probably won’t get Canadian pricing and details, but maybe.

I doubt there will be pricing announced.  They might say something like "competitive pricing" or some other marketing work around.  Regardless, this is an exciting vehicle and I look forward to the big reveal.

There are two vehicles now that have me considering trading in the MX5...
Civic SI and this one.

Man that's a great package right there.  So is that the same 3 cylinder engine that is in the Yaris GR thingy?  Now it's a little boy racer and in your face, but I think it's suitable for this kind of vehicle and will likely look like the grown up option next to the Civic Type R.

Hmmm, so with that level of performance, plus it being AWD, makes me think it'll compete more with the Golf R and Civic Type R, so now I'm expecting the price to be north of $45K CAD.  I wonder if there will be limited numbers or if they'll pump out as many as they can.  I can see this being very popular here in Canada similar to Golf R.

What’s an “intelligent manual transmission”? Maybe just rev marching on downshifts? Sticking an “i” in front of everything is getting really old - “iMT” ?!?!

Considering their regular manual hatchback has auto rev match, I'd expect this to have that feature too.

Front end is unattractive, but everything else is just goddamm!!   :o :o
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Sweet.

More options in the hot hatch market is not a bad thing.

300hp is a nice boost over the 257 for the GR Yaris. Looks like the proper reveal comes out at 9.30pm Eastern

^^ Was reading that this engine is proving to be plenty stout. 300 HP is actually a pretty mild state of tune for this thing, apparently.

I’m still really intrigued, but yeah, this is looking like a TypeR/Golf R competitor. Maybe a base version for $42k and loaded for $45?

But if I decide to spend that much on my next car, I’d probably choose this over those two. But it would still be really tempting to save some money and go BRZ or base WRX for $32k.
