LOL. I guess I was using my hands to shield my butt from the fall, and ended up smashing my wrist in the process. Hurt my back and butt too, so it didn't go well. Now I get in and out of my LS like a geriatric, or an actual LS driver...

Teaser... some air suspension fine tuning needs to happen, and the fitment needs to be adjusted a bit, but I have channeled my inner Mississauga kid...

Are you going to keep the BMW center caps?

I hope not...saw that immediately.

You have an air suspension controller, correct?

Nah, the Lexus caps are incoming, just will take a couple of weeks due to shipping.

Yes, I have the air suspension controller to finesse it so we'll see how it ends up. One of my techs has called dibs on the wheel/tire combo if I don't end up liking it.

No rub. Still waiting for my centre caps to come in... I like it, I'm not sure I love it. Looks way younger than the "Old man" look of the Mercury Silver Metallic though...

Yes, I don't love it. But better fills out the fender gap.

I think I'd like more spokes I think.

How's the ride quality?

^hmmmm, looks good, but I'm not sure I'm in love with the look. I'm a big fan of keeping things stock.

I think the stock wheels are a tad too small for the large body and well gaps on the LS.

I like 5 spoke rims but these are a bit over the top, IMHO. The oem ones on the other hand ...  ;)

How's the ride quality?

Ride quality isn't appreciably different than before. Previously it was perfect with the air in "sport", and nausea-inducing float in "comfort". Now it's perfect in "Normal", fine in "Comfort" and a bit too firm in "Sport".

I like the five-spoke look; too many spokes is too busy for me. I just think it would have been perfect in a 20" rather than the 21".

I don’t know if it’s the angle or what but the rear looks good but it seems to be a bit too big on the front.  I don’t hate it (other than the BMW center caps).

There aren’t other Lexus design rims that are similar 5 spoke but maybe 20 inch size?

Those aren't the normal wheels.

Those are off the sport model.

Been a while since an update. Got LED fog lights to match the LS 600h triple-beam LED headlights, and some LED turn signals too. Cleans up the front end nicely. Still a spectacular daily driver, now that a couple of the common LS issues have been addressed. I also got rid of the stupid BMW wheels pictured above; my buddy bought an E65 750Li (obviously hates his life), and I started hating the way they looked, so he took them over. I went back to the 5-spoke F-Sport 19s on my car for the summer.

Got new winter tires this year (Michelin X-Ice 3) on the stock 18" wheels, the Toyo GSI5s were 2015 date coded and were starting to howl.

I know that some consider its predecessor, the LS 430 to be the better bet, but the 460 is just so much more modern feeling. One of my staff's kids has an '05 LS 430 that we found him and I spent a bit of time in it - it just feels like a pretty-good old car now while the 460 feels like a current car (now that it has wireless CarPlay, LED headlights and a few other touches).

I'd definitely go for a minty 460 over a 430. The 430 is more of a nostalgic buy, IMO, but for something frequently driven I'd rather roll in a 460.  Yours looks to be about as good as it gets.  :winner: :winner:

Love it, but the only thing that keeps bothering me is the Indian Dad Racing Silver - I've dabbled with the idea of wrapping it black, but my (selective) cheapness prevails, and also the stigma around being a young-ish brown guy in a wrapped LS in Mississauga ;D

Honestly - silver is the best colour for that car, IMO.  There's a reason so many were sold in that colour.

And I hear you on the wrap stereotype  ;D. I wouldn't let that stop me if that were the best choice, but I don't think that's the best choice here.
