Went by my folks' house today... had to pull this out of the garage just for the sake of the photo.

Can't you swap them? The black one screams more "Exec" where the silver one it's more like "grandpa"....😁

Oh I agree, I definitely love the dark grey "Smoky Granite Mica" (not black, BTW) on my dad's car more than I like the old man silver (Mercury Metallic) on mine. Got the windows tinted on mine this week so it's less "old man", but hey, it drives great. Plates are nearly sequential, too - they're off by 11 numbers.

I've just gone through a tank and a half, probably about 800 kilometres, and it's driving just beautifully.

Just teasing you man. I'm sure it drives great. Just don't put 22 inch chrome wheels on it!  ;)

Hahaha. The summer wheels are the same for both - I grabbed sets of the big F-Sport designs. They're in all the pics of my dad's car and the first pic of this one before I flipped it into winter mode.

So with a little bit of wiring hacking, you can set up a switch to make the air-suspension height adjustable. First picture is totally dumped to the ground, and the second is just stock, but just perfect for me.

Blacked out and slammed is how they seem to end up around here. Just need some lower profile rims with a weird offset  :D

^^ For me, just adding window tint is the equivalent of going full pimp. I can't stand dark aftermarket tint on a car.

In my experience , the darker the tint found, the poorer the driving skills encountered, as a means to hide from embarrassment.

i used to tint my windows (the Rio5 were tinted), but i no longer like them that dark...factory tints are fine now...nothing worse than backing out of a tight parking lot at night in the rain...can't see a thing out of them.

Bingo. Years ago we a got a Mazda6 in a comparo that was treated to dealer add-ons. Could not see s**t reversing the thing. Actually hurt the car's finishing order (12 drivers, not just me!)

I like tint on a daily driver...it does really make a difference in keeping the cabin temperatures down in the summer, and reducing UV damage on the interior. I also like it dark-ish in the cabin when I am driving, one of the reasons I almost never open sunroof shades. I have to admit I also like the privacy tint affords....sitting in traffic it's nice to be able to check out the babe in the car next to you, or chuckle at some character on the street without being real obvious, lol. The Escalade, DTS, Sonoma & Firebird are all tinted pretty dark....I bought the Caddy's with tint already (Escalade is really, really dark), the other two I had done many years ago.

There are certain cars where it looks out of place though; anything older than the 90's, or cars that are suppose to look more upscale/elegant...I won't tint the XKR for example.

Rearward visibility hasn't been much of an issue for me, few times I've had to put the side window down looking for a house # in the dark.

That's what shades are for!
