If you can't fit what you need for an infant (or two) in the trunk of a large car like a DTS or LS (or smaller car)...you need to rethink things.

That's not what I said...at all. Course it fits, it's just not as convenient. The DTS is also useless for hauling furniture, lumber, drywall, etc....you know, the stuff people with kids might want to haul.

I'm sure you can put on your little cap and haul people to/from the airport just fine, right?  :-* :-*

Unless they're bringing drywall or furniture with them?

I for one ALWAYS bring drywall when going to the airport... don't you?

Also, screw all you guys... a Chrysler 300!? Does nobody here know me  :'( :'( :'(

So there was no need for drywall or furniture before the kid then? LOL

There might be - all I was saying that typically, as one progresses through a traditional lifecycle, home renos and having kids tend to show up around the same time - making the case stronger for having truck/SUV around.

I don't see the point of trying to stuff an entire family into a car when there are SUVs available. Plus awd safety for the winter, can pull a decent RV, lots of room for reno stuff. Great choice on the LS, love that thing.

I think that's a great car to replace your old LS Hire.  I would love to hear how it differs from your old one.  Which do you prefer?  So from what you said this is likely going to be part of your rotation of vehicles for awhile.  With only 130,000kms it has a good 2-300K of life left in it, that'll take a long time for you to get to the end of that cars life.

With my first Odyssey (gen2), I could slide drywall under the rear bench with the kiddos seated there, and close the hatch.  :winner:

Actually did that a few times, but not on the way to the airport  ;D

That's a super nice DD, congrats!!

Speaking of needing big family vehicles, my wife wanted something with more space for our stuff when travelling, and the dog. Now, she's so hell bent on keeping it clean, she doesn't want the dog in there. And even though we got the Acura mat for the back, plus another full coverage liner on top, she qualms when I want to haul stuff that can't fit in my car  ::)  :banghead:

That is an excellent DD sofa to waft around in. Great choice for what it is designed for. Only improved if it was a nice merlot or black.

Congrats!
