Nice, that's a good looking car, those seats look mint! With decent care that should last him a long time...
That's the plan...until whatever age his insurance goes down.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Nice. I do like these. They don't suffer from the block/coolant issues that the Civics do?

I doubt it.  It's the same block as the K20Z3 - a complete different design than the R18A1 in the Civic.

To my knowledge, the K20 engines didn't have any major problems at all.

Sounds like I should start a thread and get all your input when the time comes or I'll end up buying a dud.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

K20s are indeed a good engine...they run past 400k easily.

Congrats to the kid and a solid choice for his first car.  Hope he drives it for a long time. It being a semi luxury vehicle it'll fit right in with your fleet.

One of the best first time drivers I ever had the pleasure of instructing at Calabogie was driving a CSX. That thing sounded beautiful when he wrung it out. His only mods were track rubber and some upgraded (Giro Disc) rotors and EBC Yellow Stuff pads. He was a natural.

Nothing like buying your first car with your own money.

Nothing the old man can say then!  :D

His must have been a Type S, then.

You are right! That thing was a screamer. Interesting that he had Enkei RPF-1 wheels and they are very similar to the factory wheels. https://www.auto123.com/en/news/2010-acura-csx-type-s-review/31805/

nice buy...good on him for buying his own car too...will get an appreciation for the value of money since he knows how hard he has to work to pay for it.

That's the idea.

We've been having him buy his own "luxuries" for a number of years now (PS4, cell phone, etc), so he definitely gets it.   ;)
