Latitude Xi2

Anyone have first hand experience with these? They are Michelin's previous winter tire, but they are on closeout at Canadian Tire for 40% off right now.

XI2 must be pretty old, no?

I  had the Latitude XI2 on the  2014 Q5 in  235-65 .  I guess they worked well, never had any anxious moments.  But I always had the feeling that they were not suited to the slight rear bias of the Quattro on the Q5....or that the combination of the stab control  and the slight rear bias was not suited to those tires.

Oh interesting. These are going on dad's '17 Ridgeline (with torque vectoring rear diff) and he wasn't sure whether to go Michelin or Bridgestone. These Latitudes are priced at $575 for a set of four in 18".

I have experience with the Xi3s and found they were good, but had some issue with deep snow/slush, but the Ridgeline's iVTM AWD is damn impressive and probably won't have much issue.  Tire Rack and Consumer reports both rate the Xi2s favourably.

I have the Bridgestone  DMV2  on the Volvo and I am very happy with them.  But I note that the Volvo is Haldex AWD not Quattro and the rear suspension is quite different.

They haven’t made Latitude Xi3s yet. I wonder if they’re planning to do Snow versions?

i'll need to explore winter tire options in a few months for my Venza...i really like the Blizzaks i had on my Rio5 before, and the DM-V2 tires seem to be talked about pretty highly...will have to start researching my options soon so i'm ready to go in a few months.

That is right. The Xi2 Latitudes were the snow tire for light trucks/SUVs as there was no Xi3. Looks like the Xice Snow SUV is the successor to the Xi2 Latitudes.

Have been using these on my wife's Acadia since 2015, no complaints and no issues. They are wearing like iron as well. The price you quoted seems like a steal of a deal. for 18" tires.
