Looks great.  Is the car in as good of condition as you expected?  Any surprises?  Looks to be pristine.

Paint was really good...hardly any micro swirls.  All maintenance up to date. New PS4 tires. It was very well kept and probably in better condition than expected. I mean..I thought it was good and nice...but it's every bit of that and more.

Surprises? Not really. A couple small blemishes on the top that can only be seen with the top up...but I'm nit picking here.

Car is in absolutely superb condition.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Looks great. I really think this gen has aged extremely well which just means they got it right. Anybody know off hand (I'm too lazy to look it up) how much bigger the current gen is?

It reminds in many ways of my 996..but it's a bit rowdier and frisky. 996 felt more grown up. Both feel "old" and analog compared to the new ones...and for a lot of people, that's a good thing. I like it! No question the newer 981 is better in every possible performance metric..but it feels less pure/raw. They feel "new".

Road feel is about as good as it gets. In Sport mode, the suspension is REALLY tight...you feel everything. I prefer normal for regular driving and think Sport would be best saved for track use. Zero roll..Car is the flattest cornering car I've owned.

Sport exhaust sounds amazing...and is loud and grumbly..up till 30 km/h. Then it quiets down...and gets loud again after 70km/h. Stupid...when I have Sport on, I want rambunctious until I decide I don't. Apparently there's a plug and play controller that keeps the exhaust from quieting down. I'll probably buy it.

Even then...I wish it howled even more. Might need headers to fix that.

Stick is nice..but not amazing. It's smooth..but feels somewhat vague. It's a "good" stick but not an amazing one. It can be brought up to amazing with some money..but I'm not going to bother.

Seats are snug and tight. I'm 185 currently and they are snug!

Wind noise is really tuned down with windows up when top is down..you can easily chat. And it's not bad at all with them down. Top up is pretty refined..but you still know you're in a sports car and not a luxury car.

^sounds like you're pretty happy with it! That's great!! I only drove it with the top down & windows down & didn't find it too bad, even on the highway & the flat 6 behind your ears makes all the perfect noises.

Funny, I didn't find the seats that snug feeling (and I'm sitting around 200lbs), I'd say they're comparable to my AMG ones & not nearly as snug as the sport seats were in my 951, those held you in place BIG TIME!

EDIT: Yeah, and that thing does corner absolutely flat, even with the suspension in the normal setting there is little to no body roll.

Wow, amazing car. That interior.
Yes, the interior is a bit loud

Audibly or visually? I think it's stunning with the rich materials.

I don't think the screen is out of place at all.

x2, too many cars have boring all black interiors.

Lovely. These are very cool.

So uh, how about a V8 Lexus as a daily driver so you can de-lame the driveway by ditching that Prius?

Well there it is.  Nice.  I'll trade you a nice Fusion, it's newer so it's a better car, and it's AWD.  It'd be like I'm downgrading, but for you, pfft...I'd manage.  (Since rev didn't take me up on the Lightning  :P ::))

Personally I like the red interior. I'd like to hear it, but I guess that's what YouTube is for, surely there are plenty of 20080 Boxter videos.  Nice find...again.

Such a nice ride, congrats!

I even briefly tried to check out the local Boxster inventory myself a little while ago. Those are some fun little 2-seaters.

What a great looking Boxster...Didn't know this model existed. The Boxster pulls off Silver on Red better than just about any other car I can think of, and I definitely get the Carrera GT vibes here. It looks to be in excellent shape as well.

Congrats again, great buy.

Went to register the car Friday..no dice. Sort of.

Mechanic in Ottawa miss-wrote a character from the VIN on the Safety Certificate (a U looked like an O) and the MTO wouldn't accept it. So I had to register the car with a "T" temporary sticker.

Called mechanic and they made up another certificate and are Fedex-ing it. Will be here Monday.

Got through first 3/4 tank of gas. Average was 10.8L/100km. Filled up. $70

On a straight haul for about 30 minutes at 90km/h averaged 8.4L/100km

Clutch leg is out of shape and slightly sore after driving for a couple days.

As I pulled onto my street the red "check coolant level" warning came on in center cluster.

Slowed down and coasted home. Temperature gauge didn't budge and was normal throughout. Just before pulling into driveway, red warning message shut off.

Looked under car and can see coolant drip, drip, drip, dripping. Just a drip but pretty constant coming off the backside of the plastic rear undertray. Left a snail trail on the driveway.

Now the part that's so infuriating about this is, it's another in a long line of the excellence in German engineering myths. Why? Because I think I know what the issue is because it was also an issue in my 996!  So I'm hoping it's the same thing.

What is it? The coolant cap on the cooling expansion tank fails. Regularly. FFS...how hard is it to make a coolant cap that doesn't fail? Obviously pretty hard for the Germans as they're on the 4th revision of this particular cap. I'm almost certain that when I check the cap it will be revision 1. They  fail with enough frequency that guys replace them as regular maintenance every couple of years.

These types of things make my head explode. A coolant cap...SERIOUSLY?

Will keep you posted.

At least it's a relatively cheap and quick FGC issue to fix.

Ya, but still.

This is a basic thing that shouldn't need fixing FFS..
