Considering how long you keep your vehicles, I doubt it would matter in the end.
You're not wrong.

But I always try to get the "best" parts when possible.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Oh wow, just seeing this now!  Congrats Ron!  What a fantastic find.

Let me know when you go to sell it for the LC.  :D

Inner shaft/bearing of the water pump has failed. So much slop if you look close pulley is polishing itself on the mounting bolt!

Is that one of those upside down, balancing on your nose type jobs or is there an access panel?

There's only 7 bolts. But a couple are tricky. And thermostat housing needs to come off.

And yes, the belt removal and half the bolts get done through the little access hatch from the interior of the car. Some people remove the passenger seat for less contorting.

Everything else from under the car.

It's tight.

Have begun working on making the car uniquely mine.  Or just because I like to tinker.  :)

The Porsche Sport Exhaust (aka PSE) is Porsche's performance exhaust.  It has valves in the exhaust to make it louder at the touch of a button.  It sounds fantastic...BUT...only between certain RPM.  Apparently there's some noise regulation in Euroland where the exhaust can't be full loud between 30-80km/h...to keep things quiet in town.  So the car sounds amazing up until 30...then quiets down to "normal" until you reach about 80km/h.  Kinda defeats the purpose of this expensive option.  Luckily, there's a way to defeat this...and that's what I did.  So now it's on full rowdy all the time.  IQ says in town, echoing off buildings it might be borderline loud.  So we'll have to see what Johnny Law says about it.

Next, I think the back of the car look a bit...plain.  I have the nice twin lip spoiler up front..but the back remains pretty tame.  So to dress it up a bit, I've ordered a rear ducktail spoiler (like the Cayman R spoiler) from Joe Toth Composites, a small company in BC.  It's due to arrive tomorrow with painting scheduled for next week.  I'll post pics once installed.

Have installed LED throughout the car's interior, trunks, etc.  Very nice update.

The front side markers on the car are orange and aren't terribly appealing against the silver paint.  So I ordered up some clear, sequential LEDs.  They were cheap, but I'm very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the units. I've only unboxed them thus far (IQ stole the Porsche today) and I'll post updated photos of them installed.

I really, REALLY want to go through and fix the shifter (I don't think Porsche shifters are great).  But it will cost $600 USD to do so.  Someone please save me from myself!

So with the exhaust mod, do retain the ability to turn it lower if need be?  Those side indicators are very sharp.  If it's only $600 to make the shifter noticeably better I say do it.  Not like you are really braking the bank and it'll increase your enjoyment.  Plus whoever on this forum who buys it next will appreciate it. ;D

No, it's on full rambunctious all the time.

I can put it back, since it's just a plug.

But it takes 20 minutes to get into the engine bay...so switching back and forth won't be happening.
