Very cool! Does it have a 6V or 12V electrical system? If 6V, I would add that to the upgrade list if not too tedious.

6V.

Why would you want to upgrade?

Nice!

6V.

Why would you want to upgrade?

Mostly compatibility with modern accessories. Even lightbulbs, I can't imagine 6V light bulbs being common.

Cool! As a non-bike guy, if I was going to get a bike I'd target something like this....old, simple and versatile.

I'm sure lightbulb will be less easy to find.

But beyond that, there are no accessories I'll be using with this bike.

^ Based on the location of the exhaust pipe I believe the seat is heated. ;)

Nice score RRocket.

I learned to ride a clutched bike on a 1978 Kawi KM100.  Similar style bike but smaller.  Fond memories there.  It has been sitting idle in my Dad's shop for 30 years.  I should dig it out and bring it home over the winter for a project.  When it was parked it needed tires, rear spokes (many broken), and carb work.  Rear tail lights were broke off because I rode it like a dirt bike and the speedo cable was broken.  Might be tough for parts.

Me too, I think mine was a 1976, sold it to my cousin who rode it until he upgraded too.

Sometimes the hard to find bits are tires for the weird wheel sizes.   I remember all the lights being outsized for that bike, turn indicators looked huge, so I took them all off because like you, dirt bike.

A friend has been restoring bikes for years, he stopped by last week with a mid-sixties Triumph Scrambler, anyhow he has been searching parts for old Hondas for years so if you run into any issues he might know who to contact.
There is also a Honda "wrecking yard" north of Kingston, if it's still there...

Got the carb sorted yesterday.

Stripped it and put components in my ultrasonic cleaner.

After assembly, started first kick. But when not running, bowl seems to drain out of the over flow. Not sure if float sticking or because kickstand leans bike on 45 degree angle.
