VW ID Buzz
« on: July 11, 2021, 04:08:26 pm »
VW ID Buzz, Most likely name VW T7, really nice, according VW, said, it is coming stateside, as a mini bus and a van, sometime in 2023/24. Hopefully Canada. 300 miles of range, isn't too sad either.

VW Mini Bus T7. is why I suspect that might be the name.

Gather that is a cargo version, still it will be a shame if it ends up looking closer to that than this:

The T7, looks pretty much the same ID buzz. I would imagine that is what it will look like.

Someone told me that the panel van version or trades person van won't come over due to some huge tariff that was put in place like 60 years ago.  I have no idea if that is true but it does sound like something that is possible.

All they need to do is install a rear seat and no tax

I like the rims. They don't have that modern over-the-top, techno theme Hyundai and others have been following.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

It's just an impression I got, they obviously don't. Should have said they look like they might slide apart.

The rest side door slides. Have seen pictures of it.

Except this one will start another cult-like following among their owners. They will keep them for decades and will always be on look out for scrap yard batteries  :D

Also, the proportions are different from the classic NA minivan, namely the hood is much shorter.

Someone forgot to tell the engineers the look of the cool 50's version was the one to copy, not the ugly box from 1990:

Reminds me of Japanese (JDM) vans in profile.

Even reminds of the Previa a touch.

I think with the last one they've gone after GM Astro van  :P

I will reserve my judgement until the no-camo version is shown but so far it seems resemble the T1 more than any other generation, a modernized copy of it if you will.
