^^ I don't get it either. The FWD Hybrid version is like a FWD Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, but with a bed. And there's millions of accords / camrys driving around...gasp... even in winter time
I love it when a plan comes together.

Well this is a forum where people can discuss differing opinions. ::)

I think you're missing my point. Obviously we can discuss different opinions, but some of the stuff being said is akin to complaining that a Honda Civic doesn't have the interior volume that a Honda Accord has.

Either way the maximum payload is 1,500 lb, and the nominally 4.5-foot bed has a capacity of 30 cubic feet (think: ATV). It can also accommodate 4x8 sheets lying flat, with the multi-position tailgate set appropriately.

The maximum payload is 1,500 lb, and the nominally 4.5-foot bed has a capacity of 30 cubic feet.

That's a pretty high payload for a small truck. The Tacoma I had last week could only muster 11xx lbs, and the 5' bed was barely larger than the Maverick's. Ford's pricing should rejuvenate the small truck market - my Taco tester was 55k$...

I watched the video on the Driving.ca article and I thought it looked like it had decent space in the back when a grown man sat in the back.  I'm sure it'd work fine for kids or pets.

Ours would be mainly our dog and rarely some people for short hops, unless its a Nissan 300ZX level of backseat, I'm sure it will be fine.

You daily drive a 2-door JK.  The back seat of a Maverick would be positively cavernous by comparison.

Ford says, it's pefect for people who want to Carry mountains or a quad around, and what the bed was design for.

You don't think it could handle/fit a quad??

Don't think it's big enough.

There are still some things for which you need a truck, and I think hauling a quad is one of those things.

I don't know, it depends on how tough the tailgate is and how chunky said ATV is. Looks like spacewise, it will fit. My buddy fit his Honda into his Dodge with the 5'4" bed with the tailgate open just a bit, so this shouldn't be an issue with the tailgate open.
