I thought the car deserved its proper thread, being the Tesla slayer and everything  ;)

Not bad, but why do all these EV's have such lousy looking dashes  :hurl:.. I am sure it will be why higher priced than an equivalent ICE vehicle, so zero interest

Digital dashes are a trend and H is not the one to blame. This first look reviewer expects it to start at around 40k USD, so maybe around 50k here, before rebates? However batteries are expensive and there are apparent cost cutting measures even on this limited trim:

Once Tesla started it there was no turning back. Digital dashes will take more space and become more commonplace IMO.

I had a digital dash & tactile center console + a lot of redundant capacitive buttons, since my 2012 Volt  (same as US 2011MY)

Out of topic: There are not the first one booking pre-order without pricing. In a way, I can understand (insert here any manufacturer name) marketing to wait as long as possible to show their cards, I'm not talking here about exchange rate but  2021 inflation is crazy & everywhere, every week at work (not related to automotive world) we received price increase from suppliers, more than once and not small % increase either... /end of rant.

Alex on autos' in and out look. No drive.

This thing is so cool IMO; really digging the tail lights, they remind me of green LED calculators of yore. Hopefully the battery packs won't be too "hot"  :shuffle:

BUT this is a hatchback not even close to being an SUV! More like an ID3 competitor and Y, Mach or ID4…

In my area Hyundai dealers were trying to sell it as a ‘cool’ SUV but they got burned on their FB ad LOL - people called it an EV version of the VW Golf! If that’s an indication of what sales will be…this might flop.

It may be hatchback shaped but is substantially bigger in all dimensions, like 15" longer and nearly 4" wider, vs 2021 Golf.  Over 14" longer wheelbase.

SES is now able to offer 70% performance retention after 779 cycles and 90% retention in 550 cycles.

This is not a very good longevity is it?

779 cycles of 800 km looks better to me than 1000 cycles of 400 km.
