I can't remember one way or another, but I thought I heard when the lighting was first announced that the PRO would be fleet sales only?

Hopefully I"m wrong, because if average Joe's can buy the PRO, Ford will sell a TON of them.

Yes, I believe the Pro is fleet-only, at least for now. Ford would probably rather sell people the $70k+ models than the base $45k model, at least early in the Lightning's life while production is limited.

We need another Henry Ford. I hate the constant luxury rubbish spin. Every thing is luxury these days. Trouble is. it isn't. Just marketing.

I don't think that's the issue here. The Pro is likely a loss-leader at this point.

At $50,000 US. I guess everyone does want luxury, what do I know.  :-\

Mine is getting built May 15!!! Super pumped to get my hands on it, I will be the only one in Manitoba with one till at least late August, but even after that there will be just a few of us - like 12!? In 2022 with one….

There are people in the states paying $50k over MSRP for one…

Congrats on the Lightning! Extra points for being the only one in Manitoba for a few months. It should be as reliable as the Mach-E, I have not been back to the dealer since purchase on June 8 last year. 20,000 km on the clock now. $2 per 100 km for electricity, that’s the icing on the cake.

$50k over MSRP, they are crazy! Saw similar stories for the Mach-E but none over $10 K which is already crazy.

I think we're due for a Winnipeg Autos.ca meetup.  I'm genuinely interested in checking out your Lightning.

I saw my first Mach E a week ago, and since then, I've seen two more.  Definitely a good looking vehicle.  I think Ford did a great job with the Mach E.  They shouldn't have called it Mustang Mach E, though.  Mach E would have sufficed.

Sounds good! I am calling the principal at the dealer tomorrow to confirm the arrival date.

I am gone for 3 weeks in July, and week days work better / prolly also outdoors..

Don’t be too surprised when you find a 3.3L V6 under the hood.  :rofl2:

Yeah, keep your expectation low. Start with Tauri's Kona EV  :D

Nope, I couldn’t deal with the looks of the 17s & Nexen tires so I immediately bought 18s & Michelins CrossClimate 2 - lost about 25km in range but what a difference.

Belated congrats and happy motoring! I went from 19 all seasons to 18 inch rims shod in General Altimax 12 winters, before they got CR tested. Not the lowest in rolling resistance but pretty awesome in winter, which frankly I think the majority of modern winter tires are, although I was pleasantly surprised how little noise they made, when compared to the previous generation.
