Bots and spammers who waste ppl's time are the ones who bother me. I guess soon we will see who you are  ;)
Everyone hates these kinds of people, but let's be honest, governments decided to support electric vehicles. They are not the solution to the problem, but they will be the only alternative to gas powered cars we will see in the near future. So tell me what electric car will be better than the F-150 Lightning.

19.9 kWh/100km? About what the Mustang Mach-E gets in something that's bigger with the aerodynamics of a refrigerator?

Mind you, I've seen 8-9 L/100km in the gas F150 so anything's possible.

so around 50 large, it's a decent price, for 300 miles of range.  :)

I wasn't paying much attention but what a well designed truck. It will probably be the best riding and handling F150 of all time, just look at the chassis part of the video. My only gripe is they didn't make the hood lower and more aerodynamic.

Won't it suffer from the same old Ford build quality issues?

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

No, only the new ones  ;) :P

Since when vinyl seats instead of fabric have become the go-to choice for a base trim level? Is this the case with half ton trucks now?

It's been like that for a long time, same with no carpet floors.  If you are a trades person and want a base model truck, something easy to keep clean makes a lot of sense.

Of course it will.  Ford hasn't had a good roll out in years.

When did ford quit using "Quality is Job One"?

When did Ford actually show that "Quality" was their top priority?  No sense in having a catch phrase if you're never going to do what it means.

They can't afford a Chevy Bolt type fiasco, hopefully they're a bit more careful with the batteries.

GM is now saying not only to park Bolts outside, but 50 feet from other cars and preferably the top floor of parking garages

Came to reply to DM and log off.  But decided to post.

Have an F150 Lightning reservation.  Expect to pay $90K-ish for largest kWh pack and towing package.  Wife may veto and force Cybertruck purchase (loves her Model S).   I win either way.

My son bought a 2018 Hyundai Ioniq, he used my Smart ED as trade in, got $10K trade for my Smart (!!!), total cost to drive my Smart was $200/mo, miss that fun car.  Ioniq is amazing for a used car, cheap, charges faster than our 2013 Tesla and has 5 year warranty.

2013 Tesla S is running like a train, perfect, 6% degradation on battery over nearly 9 years, total cost to drive estimated at $350/mo so far (inc charging).

Bye.

Have you been keeping an eye out on what GM is doing for their electric Silverado?  I've only seen some predictions for range and them using the Hummer stuff.  I do not expect them to have the same 1,000hp, but it could be a step up from the Lightning.

I sore your post awhile back,. thought it was great, I'd buy one compared to other EV SUV, and  EV Cars that are coming that start around this price, this seems much better deal. I would Just need cloths seats. Not sure if the video added anything new. But it's newest video I've seen in awhile. Can't wait to see a real road test. This Base model seems better equipped than some cars you buy now.
